Size: 4 Piece Set (3, 4, 6 & 8 Inch)
Tool works perfectly. Some have complained about the loose bolts and needing jam nuts. The whole purpose of this tool is to be adjustable. I have used pullers like this for about 15 years and never had a problem with a bolt coming out or falling off during use. Finger tight is plenty. This is a tool that it is assumed you know how to use it when you order it because its not a simple screw driver any simpleton can purchase and use. Don't bash the tool because you don't understand how to use it or what its for. And to all the cheaply made comments out there, this tool is made with at least as good a quality as any other gear puller I have ever used and I am yet to see one break. It wont fit every application you may ever have but I can guarantee it will fit at least 90 percent of them and that's pretty good when 50 bucks allows you to do most things and will last even a professional daily user a lifetime. ... show more

  • Pop!
Size: 6" Inch
So I found an old mower someone threw out and figured I’d try my hand at bringing it back to life. I was pretty naive to think some fresh oil and a spark plug would be it. Anyways, well past that point I realize that I need to remove a flywheel and the internet has all sorts of advice on methods. I finally settled on this device and I’m very glad I did. This thing popped it off with a big bang but all was well. This seems way more efficient that using a tap and die and a different tool. I’m very happy with the quality of this puller and hope I can get some more use out of it in the future. ... show more

  • Junk! Quit looking at stars and read the bad reviews.
Size: 6" Inch
Will probably end up in the woods as far as I can throw them... Attempted to use once. When placed under load, the bolt holes in the connecting arms between the jaws and stud elongated unevenly which in turn would not allow the stud to be cranked while in a straight on position. As a result, I am no longer able to tighten to any extent as the jaws don't sit evenly on the surface to be pulled. As far as tools on amazon go, I'm leaning towards trusting the bad reviews regardless of having fewer numbers... I think those are the folks who actually use tools. ... show more

  • Perfect tool for the job!
Size: 3" Inch
After pounding on a wheel hub on my old garden cart with a sledgehammer for 2 1/2 hours (it started out as a wheel!), I decided to take a two day break and order a puller not having any idea if it would work. When I first tried it I couldn’t keep the puller shaft on the axel. So I drilled a dimple into the end of the axel and with a few turns my problem was solved! Amazing how the correct tool can make all the difference in the world. Great tool! Just hope I can find it in my nightmare of a garage the next time I need it. ... show more

  • Cheaply built
Size: 3 Piece Set (3, 4 & 6 Inch)
Great price, great packaging.... That's about it for the PROS.... Once unboxed, started to noticed that the product is cheaply made, and at FIRST use the tips started to bend (the metal bent). I could barely remove my jeep's driver's hub, the tool actually broke. The actual metal pulleys broke. It wasn't even that heavy duty of a job :/ Do not recommend unless you have a very lightweight task to do. ... show more

  • Great tool for the price
Size: 3" Inch
Great puller for a decent price. I purchased this smaller puller for removing the crank arms on bikes and it works good. The puller arms have hooks that are not too thick and they can be turned around for a shorter distance in relation to the screw bolt point. The improvement I will make is to install self locking nuts on all the bolts. The nuts should be tightened only enough to allow free movement of the arms but the nuts tend to become too loose very easily while using the tool. I will be investing in the larger size pullers without hesitation from this manufacturer. ... show more

  • Low price-high quality puller set
Size: 3 Piece Set (3, 4 & 6 Inch)
This is a very useful set of three jaw pullers. Each puller has two jaw positions to allow the puller screw to be positioned as close as possible to the center shaft that it pulls against. The jaws may be set to grasp on the outside of a rim or between spokes against the inside of the rim. The price is very low for this set of pullers. A user should know that the short bolts that hold the jaws need to be tightened only finger tight and a couple of washers, a short piece of pipe or a properly sized socket should be placed on the shaft against which the puller screw is to be placed and tightened. Once pressure is exerted, a light hammer blow on the head of the screw should be dealt to start the pulled hub, gear, pulley, etc. on its journey off the shaft. ... show more

  • Flimsy, threaded rods too short, does the job in a pinch
Size: 3 Piece Set (3, 4 & 6 Inch)
I needed to remove some pulleys that stuck fast to a motor shaft. I used the 3" and the 4" pullers. With either, I had to reverse the jaws to allow the threaded rod to reach the shaft (I guess it's a "pro" of this design), but still had to insert a spacer in order to be able to pry the pulley all the way off (I used 1/2" sockets as spacers - clumsy, but did the trick). I cannot see any other pros of these doohickeys - there is a ton of play in the mechanism, simple bolts and plain nuts are used for the pins and if you don't pay attention, they work themselves free whenever you set the jaws or take them off. But it did do the job, hence three stars. ... show more
