I balked a bit at the cost, especially when there are cheaper ones available that look very similar, but in the end I'm glad I got it as it fits my Ratio Six perfectly. Paper filters sometimes fold over when brewing which can be frustrating, and other wire/mesh filters I've used tend to leave some sediment, but this Able Basket is perfect and helps brew a good cup of coffee. I use low- or medium-roast beans and a medium grind, so I could imagine this not being so effective with a finer grind or darker roast because of the tiny holes. It's also easy to clean up. My only quibble is that it does feel a touch delicate and thin, so you need a careful hand when washing and drying it not to bend the metal.

My old reusable basket would overflow regularly because I like strong coffee and it wasn’t tall enough to hold the extra grounds so I would have grounds at the bottom of my cup. This basket is sturdy and easy to clean AND it’s tall enough so I don’t have grounds at the bottom of my cup

It’s a little bit larger than it should be. If you push it down it works fine. Odd they didn’t take accurate measurements before manufacturing.

Tried market cheap filters that come apart on first use don’t waste money on them Didn’t have fitment issues worked like champ makes excellent coffee no grounds get thru do to tiny holes have to hold it up to light to see all holes highly recommend to anyone tired of grounds in cup and wonky paper filters buy one you will like it

We’ve been using the filter that came with our coffee maker but saw this on Amazon and was curious since we keep getting grounds in the cup. Much nicer coffee filter. The stainless looks good and the holes are really small so no grounds end up in the cup. Seems like better coffee flavor too!

I'm using this basket with a funnel to make pour over coffee. The holes in this basket are extremely fine, which leads to a longer brew time. I actually wish that there were more holes in the basket to increase the flow rate. If you are used to paper filters, you will need to adjust the amount coffee or your grind size to dial in the extraction level of coffee you enjoy. It's also worth noting that unlike a paper filter, metal filters do not remove the oils from the coffee. The basket is very smooth, which makes cleaning really easy. If it fits your coffee maker or you want to use it with a funnel for pour over, this is a good choice for paperless brewing if you want an extremely fine filter basket.
