I'm very pleased with this product. It came quickly, set up easily, and is doing the job like a champ. My basement is so damp and smelly that I haven't wanted to work down there. I have had two smaller dehumidifiers running almost all the time without an appreciable difference. Just one day with this baby and the difference was amazing. The discharge water tube reaches quite a distance to my basement window and drains outside. It was a big investment for me, but I think it will be well worth it.

Abestorm sets itself apart when compared to a world filled with products engineered to be obsolete and disposable after just 2 or 3 years of inferior performance and reliability. I spent many weeks reading and watching dozens and dozens of disappointed reviewers from multiple product lines that ultimately led me to this U.S. based company Abestorm. I discovered Abestorm offers a better more reliable higher performing option once I reviewed and compared Abestorm's innovative technological advantages to other manufacturers and their product offerings. I have contacted Abestorm customer service several times and found that this U.S. based company is very responsive, knowledgeable and very willing to go above and beyond to help me resolve any questions or needs that I may have to ensure my product needs are met in a timely and professional manner. I have been using my unit for approximately 2 months and find that it is very user friendly, performs great and very versatile. If you are looking for a dehumidifier and you want to get the most performance, most versatility and the most out of what you pay for then I can highly recommend the Abestorm 85P Hurricane!

I've had this humidifier for three weeks now. I got it for personal use, to help with my damp unfinished basement. The basement is about 1,300 square feet. It has never flooded, but stays around 65% RH year-round. After running this dehumidifier non-stop for a day, the RH was about 60%. After one week of constant operation, the RH stayed in the 48-52% RH range. Now, I've set the device's humidistat to 50%. The device is active maybe 2/3 of the time, and the basement stays around 52% RH. I think that is adequate for storing books, photos and other paper items. The device itself seems to be a Chinese knock-off of the much more expensive US-made "Dri-Eaz Revolution LGR Commercial Dehumidifier". The devices look similar, but the Abestorm has a smaller air exhaust, located on the side, not the front. The Abestorm has a much smaller display, requiring you to scroll through its different functions. Also, it does not have a removeable power cord. I have no idea about the relative quality of the two devices. But I don't expect that this Abestorm device is truly suited for "commercial" use. It probably has very limited support. But as a homeowner, I'll take the risk. I'll update this review as time goes by, assuming the device stays on the market. The Abestorm brand has only been around for about a year, so it's hard to know how long they will stay in business.

This product worked extremely well...for a month! Then it began throwing an R4 error erratically. I tried to return it, but it was not allowed for this product, as the seller had removed themselves from Amazon.

This thing pulls a lot of water out of the air w a very strong pull. I bought 2 different dehumidifers (one for each side), and this one def pulls more. Only drawback is I have a small crawlspace entrance, and this made it...barely. Make sure you measure well before purchase. I got very lucky.
