This device seems to be only useful for certain skin colors and hair colors. I have pale skin and naturally light brown hair on my arms and legs, and although it does work for me, it takes some continued use to be really effective. I find that some of my hair is removed, but some is not. When I use it again, it eliminates more hair. Another application removes even more. This is probably because it does not seem to work that well on light brown hair. I have tried it only on my arms and legs. It is definitely not painful in the least. See the chart that I show in my photo for the skin colors and hair colors. This device also has some “contraindications.” They recommend not using it if you have certain skin or health conditions. See the list in my photo. The price is high for this device. I have never had any other similar device, so I cannot make a price comparison. I can say that this is a quality device. If you have naturally black or dark brown hair, and if your skin color falls within the range shown in their chart, this device will be excellent and efficient for you.

First, it is important to follow the directions and guidance for the types of skin/ hair color combinations the device is compatible with (and which it is not). Second, this device does NOT make hair instantly disappear, this is not a shaving action or even a chemical based removal. The device is meant to injure or damage the hair follical - pretty much by heating it, if you know what burnt hair smells like - that type of odor happens when the device is successful. Used correctly, the results are very much as promised. The design has certain safeguards to help make the process pain-free. Follow the instructions carefully to the letter. Overall this a very useful cosmetic device for your personal beauty treatment regimen.

There are a lot of options for IPL hair removal devices on Amazon at this point. Having reviewed a huge number of these, I have a very good grasp of the segment, and of how these devices differ. Bottom line: Most of them are very similar, and very average. They work OK, but there isn't a lot differentating them (outside of shape, color and button placement), and most appear to be made in the same factories. There are a few important features that do differentiate these IPL devices in a meaningful manner: ** How powerful is the IPL device (inferred from power supply) ** Does the IPL device offer "ICE" epidermal cooling ** Does the IPL include additional filters for different purposes This is a budget priced IPL, but adds decent ICE cooling and a very beefy power supply (64.8W). You run the tool over the area where you want to remove hair and make sure you expose all the hair follicles in that region. You will not see any immediate results. The light signals your hair to stop growing, but it requires multiple treatments over several weeks before you will be expected to see results. Eventually, you should find a substantial reduction in the hair in the treated areas. In the box, you get the tool, a power cord, a pair of eye protection glasses, a couple of skin pencils, plus instructions. A word about the "ice" functionality: It's local cooling of the epidermal region (surface skin) in the region where the IPL light pulse is being applied. The high powered light can be irritating to some people, and cooling the skin in that region can reduce the immediate irritation. (It does not improve/decrease efficacy of the treatment). Epidermal cooling is not required for efficient use, but it may make it less unpleasant to use the device for some users. This IPL flashes twice when you press the trigger. A low intensity flash followed quickly by a more intense one. The power is more than sufficient, with a 64.8W power supply--at the high end of what you will typically find with an IPL, and better than you would usually find with an IPL in this price range. Note that the power cord attaches to the side of this unit, not to the end. This is an unusual choice, and the cord will be in the way for left handed people attempting to use this unit in the flash-button-on-top mode. While this seems to be a reasonable IPL, with ICE and a powerful power supply, the price is fairly steep compared to other IPL devices I've tested that offer similar functionality. Pros: ** ICE cooling ** 64.8W power supply Cons: ** The mode/power buttons are placed where it may be easy to accidentally push them when using the gun. ** No LCD readout of number of flashes ** More expensive than IPLs with similar power and ICE ** Oblong shape may be more difficult for smaller hands to hold ** The power cord attaches to the side, which will make it difficult to hold for left-handed people

This hair removal tool has a cooling technology that helped me safely remove unwanted hair without causing a lot of pains or discomforts. The hair removal has a body that is easy to hold with a firm grip that still allowed freedom of movement without hindering the usage of the device. The device has a head that adapted to the contour of my body allowing a smooth glide all over. This device is safe for all skin types and it did not cause any burning or irritations for me. I can see that the areas that I used this hair removal on stunted the growth of my hair compared to the areas that I did not use this tool on. This hair removal set comes with everything I need to get started of removing excess hair on all parts of my body. Having this tool at home saved me both time and money as I don’t have to wait for hours in the salon and having to pay for multiple sessions. This hair removal device so far has provided positive results and I’m hoping by continuing to use this device that my excess hair would be permanently gone.

No need for expensive laser treatments when you can buy this It works extremely well. I would say the only downside of it is you have to remember to actually do it and use it consistently to get results whereas you know if you go for an appointment you just lie there and they do it for you but at the same time, we do have to remember to go also and pay a lot more money so this is way better definitely worth the investment.
