I have a side business of handmade items and sell at craft fairs and such throughout the year. Previous to purchasing this canopy, I was limited to what locations/events I could join because I could not put up my canopy by myself if needed. First time out of the box (and every time after), was the simplest set up! I'm 5' 2" and had no problem getting this set up all the way to it's tallest. The canopy materially is a little lighter weight than I was hoping for, but it provides great sun and rain coverage. I was caught in a downpour soon after the attached pictures were taken and by dropping the legs to the lowest position, was able to save my products from the rain! This event was in a wide open field and there was a bit of wind - especially as the storm blew in - but with weight on the legs, the canopy was very secure. This canopy was advertised in many colors, but I chose this red pattern because it is easy for people to find me in a see of white and blue canopies. (my other canopy is red also - it's part of my business design colors). The last event I did had over 60 vendors and my regular customers told me they knew exactly which tent was mine! Mosquitoes must be declared state bird of Minnesota, these are so bad and ruins the fun of camping. I bought this canopy for camping to keep bugs out and rain. Not sure how it will handle wind (haven't been to a windy situation yet). Pros: - Comes with screen material that goes all the way around. - No sign of spots where it can leak from the top so the cover appears solidly made. - mesh goes all the way to the bottom if you assemble it correctly. - Keeps you out of direct Sun and bugs Cons: - You will need rocks or something to weigh down the wall panels to actually make sure no bugs can go through - Needs at minimum 2 people to set it up. So far, I've unpacked it and assembled it. Time will see how it performs when we plan to use it in June. I bought this item because it came with the screen, which I thought would be nice at night. That said, here is my review of the product. Pro;s: The frame seams sturdy and has quick/easy latches that snap into place when fully erected. To disassemble, you simply push or pull latches instead of trying to push a pin into a hole. Cons: 1. the canopy fabric seams cheap. I hope we will get a couple of years out of it, then I can always replace just the canopy fabric in the future if it doesn't last. 2. The screen in very cheap but should do the job. I did already make a small tear in it when I was trying to put it back in the bag, but it should still work fine and I'm not really sure how much I will actually use it 3. My biggest complaint and the reason the screen was ripped was how the storage bag was designed. Obviously, no thought was put into how the unit would be put back into the storage bag. It opens from one end (approximately an 8"x8" hole), so you have to try to slide the frame and fabric in this small opening, which is impossible without tying or strapping the fabric to the frame first. it would have been better to have a zipper run the entire length of the storage bag, but I guess i can't expect too much with regards to where it was made. But for me, the cost was very good since it was an amazon warehouse deal and I expect most canopies in the same price range are of a similar quality. ... show more

    • Easier than i thought

This was first. I have to admit I was intimidated, stuff that folds & requires patience, i fear. However, i broke it out of the box to give it a try right after delivery to see if I was gonna give up & return it, or keep it knowing I would use it in the field. I'm a dj, one that uses records which are sensitive to sunlight, and i got the 8x8 because it would fit my little set up perfectly. Plus seems easier to set up than a 10x10, but now I know it's just as easy. Anyways, i got it set up, by myself, in minutes. It was so fast i don't remember if it took me any time at all. Trick is, keep your canopy ON the frame when you are packing up, don't try fold it back up like I did, just leave it on the frame when you collapse it and put it back in the bag. Fits like a charm. I got the gray color canopy & like it. Gonna buy a wall for it to keep the sunshine off the vinyl. Also, I had it set up in moderate wind without using the pegs or sandbags it came with & it was still very secure. The description on this canopy says it's easy for one person, I was fact checking that & the verdict is TRUE ENJOY! ... show more
