All negatives say “ it’s too small” no people it’s not. Remove the small top from the frame, you will notice the rods have metal pins that can be depressed to shortened the frame. Do it, then after removing the old top, put the new one and and extend the frame til the metal pin pops back it place...same deal for the big cover. The cover fits perfectly and is easy to install...if you do it right. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My original canopy was worn down by sun exposure and torn by high winds. It was an eyesore; I despaired of finding a replacement, because I purchased it at the Navy Exchange, and they no longer carry it. Searched amazon and found it! Said a prayer and ordered it. I put it on BY MYSELF in less than 30 mins! It fits and looks great. I recommend letting it sit out in the sun for a bit, to soften the material and ease the stretching of the fabric without tearing it when pulling it into place. Bought this as a replacement for a grill canopy I bought from Walmart a couple years back. First, I was happy this vendor offered a choice of colors. I bought the Burgundy color which was very attractive. The one thing I can say about this canopy is that the quality far surpasses my original cover. I was going to replace this last year but the cover cost as much a buying an entire new unit. I wasn't expecting much at this price but the heaviness and obvious durability of this cover really exceeded my expectations. I'm considering buying a second one to replace in the future. My grill cover stays on year round and is exposed to the elements all year. This was an easy installation even though the cover fits snugly as it should. They include a tool for installation which I really didn't need to use but it is handy to have. As expected, I had to remove two legs of the top piece to fit the large lower cover on the frame.     • Excellent replacement & Update!

This canopy fits perfectly and is well made. Getting it on was easy with the pull straps and the hook that was sent with it. Thanks for that!! The material seems very durable and so far is holding up fine against severe storms and heavy hail pounding down on it. It’s actually a bit thicker than the original cover (feels like it anyway) so I’m certain it will also tolerate the direct sun in the summer for many years. I’ll update if that changes. UPDATE: It’s been a year and the replacement cover is still holding up like new. I live in the desert so there has been harsh sun, brutal winds, some snow and heavy rain. Of course there’s been some fading as expected. The stitching is still solid. No stretching. I can still recommend this cover. UPDATE 3 years later: I need a new replacement after 3 years. The top is fine with some minor issues but a corner just ripped apart and the metal poked through. I used gorilla tape to fix it. However I see that there are worn areas that look iffy . There are many options for this size at a similar price but I will stay with this one. It fits and it held up in rough conditions. I mentioned that I get brutal weather here in the desert…insane wind (and tornado like dust devils), intense sun and some snow. All considered, I guess 3 years is a good amount of abuse until it finally just gave away. Still a good replacement. ... show more

The exterior dimensions of 5' x 8' were a match but there are additional measurements to confirm. First consideration, in order to fit over our frame, the interior opening needs to be 14" x 24". On this cover, the opening was significantly smaller and did not stretch to drop below the upper frame. Second consideration, our original had a side pocket which fit around the braces of the side frame. This one only had the corner pockets. So here's what we did. The larger canvas was able to be stretched OVER the upper frame - not as intended, but works. We used our original upper canvas which ended up under the lower canvas but does close the opening for rain protection. So we lost the venting, kept rain protection and have an acceptable hybrid solution. Next order for a replacement in two years - based on quality, I will be inquiring about the size of the interior opening AND whether there are side pockets for the side braces of the frame.     • This canopy is the right one to replace the one I had.

The canopy is easy to install but when I tried to remove it for the winter, I could not get it off. I live in Michigan and we have lots of snow. This requires you to stretch the corners over the frame to install. But this method is not meant for easy removal. I did not think it would do well with heavy snow on it, and it didn't. Unfortunately, when I tried to push the snow off from underneath, the fabric split. It must have become brittle or frozen in the winter temperatures. So I bought this replacement but before I install it, I'm going to add Velcro tabs to the corners for easier removal. ... show more

I really like the color grey on this. When my original one finally ripped from the windstorms we’ve been having this spring, I ordered this brand. The only difference with this canopy vs my old one is that the small top piece doesn’t have a hole in the middle for the top ball that screws into mine but I just didn’t put the ball back on top. The only thing that I don’t like about it, is that the edging isn’t thicker than the rest of the canopy like my old one had and it sags down. So when it’s raining outside, the water weighs the edges down and gets everything underneath it wet. So next time when I order, I will be double checking that part. It fits well too. It just doesn’t have as sturdy of edges but does the job for now! For the price of this, it’s definitely worth it than buying a whole new grill gazebo! ... show more
