Ordered sand from Home Depot. Used a large funnel to fill the bags. Placed the filled bags at the bottom of two patio chairs. These work great to keep the wind from blowing the chairs around.

These would easily be a five-star product with one simple improvement: somehow "toughen up" the bottom of them. Once filled, they are inevitably subjected to pretty harsh lives...tossed into the back of your pickup, dragged on the ground (or worse, the pavement or concrete), etc.. This is my second set, only because of this weakness. Apart from that, they're essentially perfect. Yes, not expensive at all. I would prefer to pay a bit more and have them last better/longer. We bought these for our canopy on the beach. Our canopy didn’t move AT ALL! Not even an inch. I truly believe it would have been the only canopy left standing after a hurricane lol. These bags are very sturdy and well made. They would be hard to make holes in because they are made of really thick material. The material itself seams to be pretty stout. The problem I had was one of them came with the entire bottom not even stitched. I don't know if it got missed or some of the stitching came loose. I can make a strong stitch for this myself even if I have to hand sew it, so I won't be returning them. But kinda stinks to get these ready to use and an entire bottom is see through. ... show more
