These sandbags are much sturdier than the ones usually found on Amazon and they actually cost LESS than lower quality ones! Each bag is actually made of two pouches, each holding 15+ pounds of sand. They are a very heavy weight canvas (okay 'oxford cloth') and feature a double zipper on the pouches, keeping the sand in the bags. The two pouches are not separate bags sewn together, they are made from the same lengths of canvas with about 1 inch of multi-layer fabric between them, making them very strong and secure. The two pouches wrap around the legs of the tent and are secured with wide, heavy hook/loop straps. At my last Farmer's Market we had winds of 20-25mph for 3-4 hours. At least two vendors lost their tents entirely and some others were moved by the wind. Mine (also from ABC Canopy, their 'market' series with 1-1/4" steel legs) did flex in the wind and I held it down during the strongest gusts but the legs never moved or lifted at all. I do have two minor quibbles. First, the loops at the top are nice, heavy straps but they are rather short, making it difficult to carry them by the straps. Second, since they wrap completely around the tent leg it is not possible to attach the bottom tie of the side walls, leaving the bottom 18" or so loose and flapping. A minor complaint, I know. I would certainly buy them again (although I doubt I'll ever need to) and have recommended them to several other vendors.

I recently purchased three different canopy weight bags to test side-by-side before buying a larger quantity for a project: ABCCANOPY Canopy Weight Bags for Pop up Canopy (Gray/Black) from the ABCCANOPY Store, Canopy Weight Bags(140lbs) for Pop up Canopy Tent 1680D Heavy Duty Leg Canopy Weights Sand Bags for Instant Outdoor Sun Shelter Canopy/Patio Umbrella Set of 4 from the Jorohiker store, and Leader Accessories 4pcs/Pack Canopy Weight Bags Sandbags 30lb/pc Upgrade Huge Capacity from the Leader Accessories Store. All three weight bags (sets of 4 each) cost around $30. The canopy weight bag from Jorohiker has the fatal flaw of no internal sand bladder and only a single zipper that lets sand easily leak out. The canopy weight bag from Leader Accessories has the fatal flaw that the cinch straps are too close to one end and so they slip off, unable to firmly secure the weight bag. However the weight bag from ABCCANOPY was surprisingly excellent. The bag material is a heavy gauge rubberized canvas that is much thicker than either of the other two bags. The stitching is very heavy and is so tight that not even sand dust leaks out. The cinch straps and quick release buckles are twice as wide as the other bags. It has a strap with a grommet on one end, and a rubber carrying handle on the other end. Finally, it has DOUBLE zippers running in opposite directions to create a double seal, containing the sand without even the slightest bit of leakage. It’s truly amazing how much better this bag is than the other two for the same price.

I used these at a recent event to hold down my canopy. There were a few gusts of wind in the rain storm, and I never once worried about the tent. The handle itself is easy to carry. The double zipper design means I don’t have that sand leading out all over my car from event to event, and I only had to purchase the sand once! Great design that will last me for years the way it is constructed. I don’t expect to ever have to replace them.

I've had mine for 6 years. I put bricks in them. Unfortunately, the material is breaking down and it's leaving messes everywhere. But still works great!

Happy with this purchase so far. Purchased these bags 1.5 years ago. Used this past weekend for the first time, 3 days full days at the beach. Held 10 x 10 tent steady in light winds of 6 -12 mph (only needed 2 bags filled with sand). Sand worked very well; water quickly leaked out. Durability 5 * - materials seem high quality based on limited use, so giving benefit of the doubt. Really impressed with the smoothness of the dual zipper system in sandy conditions. The velcro held strong. Sturdiness 4.5 * - must fill half way for the bags to stand up on its own and for the opening to stay wide enough to fill without holding. The bags are very sturdy once filled with sand. Value 4 * - these bags are easy to use, work well, and look good. Grocery bags filled with sand and secured to the tent function just as well in light to moderate winds, so there are much less expensive solutions - but come on, these look a lot better.

The quality on these has really gone downhill. I purchased a set in 2019 and they were still in great shape when I got rid of them a few months ago. We had been using them to secure portable soccer goals in our soccer program. I decided to start out winter season with new equipment so I gave the other set to a new program. The 2019 sandbags are in better shape than the ones I just purchased two months ago. This recently purchased set had the straps fall off the bags within a couple of weeks. Not long after I had bags splitting at the seams on the ends leaking sand everywhere. I spent three hours mending bags last week just so they'd make it through the season only to have them split in other places this past weekend. TLDR; I have purchased these twice about 5 years apart. They were good, now they're not. Greedflation / Shrinkflation strikes again.

We bought play sand from... Lets just say that it was a depot for the home,... and filled the bags. They stayed secure to the tent, which did not go anywhere the very first ---and only--- wild and windy (and rainy) night. That may just be due to the fact that I did a good job of staking the tent.... ...Or maybe the bags had something to do with it. Maybe. Did not matter that much, as the alleged waterproof tent was not, after all, waterproof. My brother had some lighter sandbags he uses on his tents, and they do not stay put on very windy days. Plan on returning the tent, but keeping the bags for the tent's eventual replacement.
