This 8GB A-tech 8GB DDR4 2133MHz SODIMM PC4-17000 2Rx8 Dual Rank 260-Pin CL15 is not as "fast" as a 2666MHz laptop memory but oh wow! --The Synology DS220+ lets me backup a Windows 11 machine and a Windows 10 machine in about 1/3 the time it took with the basic 2GB of soldered in DS220+ memory. A total of 10GB of memory really makes a Big improvement in performance. I should mention that it is really easy to fail to fully insert the memory stick so here are a couple of suggestions that would apply for anyone inserting the memory. Look at the memory module and you will see the gold connectors. Near the middle of those connectors you will see a notch. It is offset a little from the middle so you can tell right away if it does not match up with the "keyway" on the memory slot. Look carefully at the little metal arms located on the memory slot. Note that they have a little "bulge" that will hold the memory module in place. Don't slide the module past these little bulges. Rather, look at the pin receivers that are located beyond (back further in the memory slot). Tilt the memory module so the 260 pins are a little lower than the memory slot arms and then slide the memory module so that you see and feel the memory module begin to go into place. Push the module in as far as you can and then begin pushing down on the memory module so you make contact with the little metal arms that have that "bulge" I previously mentioned. The module has a notch on each end that will line up with the little metal arms and you need to get that clear clicking sound when you get the module to seat. Most likely you will no longer see the 260 pins on the memory module because you have pushed the module as far back into the memory slot as you need to do. I thought I had a bad memory module when I tried to run the DS220+ and did not have the module all the way into the memory slot. I read another person's comments about this problem, pulled out the memory module and, reinserted it with a little more force and the module fit in place with an impressive 'click.' -- I put the drive into the machine, hooked it up, turned it on and about ten minutes later had a DS220+ that showed that I now had 10GB of memory rather than 2GB of memory! -- Sorry for the long explanation but I bet that many people try the memory install and think they have a bad memory module when actually they fail to fully insert the module into the memory slot. --I should also mention that just before you get to that loud click of success, you may need to gently push each arm a bit with a very small screwdriver to get that final click as you seat the module. Will also work in the similar QOTOM Q5556G (I5-7300U) and Q575G6 (I7-7500U) systems. No issues installing or using this RAM, works as expected. I went into this purchase knowing anything with a chip on it is overpriced due to our current market with all the dempanic hysteria going on right now. That being said I needed to upgrade an older laptop so my daughters could use it as a dedicated Cricut machine driver. This 8GB x 2 chip set was the answer. I am happy with the shipping time and the chips seem to be as good quality as any other I have purchased. This supposed to be memory kit. Inside two modules: Crucial CT8G4SFD8213.C16FBD1 and Micron 16ATF1G64HZ-2G1B1 So this is a kit made of two different brands of memory. And memory is bad - memtest fails, so it goes directly to trash bin.
