The temperature setting dial doesnt't have the triangle to help set the temperature like most other brands. Heats water very fast

    • Do Not Buy This Product
Horrible product and support. Burner plate went bad after 30 months. When I called to have one sent I was treated like I was trying to steal a burner plate. 7 days after I replaced the burner plate (which BTW took 7 days without hot water because of how they handled it) the T&P value went out. I am currently trying to get reimbursed for that part but am having to do back flips, like I would steal a T&P valve or really even know what one is. I work in Finance. So I will eat these costs, maybe that is their goal - you either invest countless hours of your own to receive your warranty money or they don't pay. Once this started to happen, again - 30 months!, I checked out the product and found this is an all to common problem. Avoid AO Smith products. ... show more

    • don't waste your money
I replaced my (working !) water heater with one of those because I have two teenage boys who take shower around the clock and was hoping to get more hot water out of it. Little did I know .... After 1.5 year it stopped working, water was not heating. 10 blinkers were for "clean burner screen" which was absurd because device is almost new. A guy who installed it came and replaced the device and it worked again .... For 2 more months. I am very upset I went for this heater, don't waste your money. apparently a poor quality ... show more

    • A complete piece of junk
The heater stopped working after 18 months. It would restart then just go out for no apparent reason. Needed to replace faulty parts but parts are only guaranteed for one year. I wish I did more research before I purchased this piece of junk. Avoid at all costs.
