  • For the price, it can't be beat!
Color: White
Glad got this over the more expensive Elgato brand. This is basically the same thing, albeit with a different app market. Yet a lot of the Elgato apps/functions work with this thing. Is it perfect? No, but for the price I paid it is a steal! It is quite customizable, and you can create your own workflow with the built in macro functions. Do keep in mind that if you're expecting functionality and compatibility like an Elgato device, you will be disappointed, so don't buy this thinking that's what it is and then bash it for not being something it's not supposed to be. I recommend this gadget for someone looking for a streamer deck, or for someone who wants a shortcut key device, or something of the like that can help with video/image editing programs. The display is nice and bright, the buttons click well, and overall it's a well made product. ... show more

  • Some issues
Color: Black
DO NOT USE the USB cable that came with it. I was having many problems with the device, almost thought I got ripped off. It was freezing, I had to constantly restart the app or the device itself ( unplug and plug back in). Its performance was shoddy and I often missed the perfect chance to drop the right sound effect. I replaced the cable with a USB-C quality one, and plugged it directly into a USB-C port, all the problems went away. I think it has power issues with the default cable. Now it works perfect, and does everything I need it to do! Its been a blast making people laugh and/or scaring them half to death in horror games. This is an AWESOME deal even if you have to buy a $10 USB-C cable. I bought a second one for a present. ... show more

  • Its not an elgato, but it is a good budget option. Its not an elgato, but it is a good budget option.
Color: White
Like my headline says,it is definitely not the name brand you want, but if your not looking for a market full of pay apps like elgatos plugins for their stream deck can have. This is for you,it can use some of the scripts and set ups the elgato would, being able to import them, but buttons cant display animated icons or reactive so its more useful as a short cut or hotkey dock. Ive sat up plenty with this,i use it to make scene transitions and manage my streams from hotkeys, in my downtime im able to use it to control spotify to pick playlists, skip songs etc. Theres even some soundboard functionalities. If your looking to use it for gaming, i just wouldnt. There are 0 presets so you are making all your set ups, and the options for games it works with would be anything with kb hotkey presses really, but for creators i think its an alright add on the budget. Also bare in mind, i know i left this at the end, but being its not elgato,it does use its own "ajazz" software, ive used it for months though with out any viruses or issues to impact on performance. ... show more

  • Don't Buy It
Color: White
The A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller is simply not worth getting. You are forced to use their software for the device. The available plugin's within their software is limited and even then most them don't work correctly. Some of them even freeze the device forcing you to unplug it and reconnect the device. I noticed the A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller device has like a 2-3 second delay. When it comes to updating what is displayed on the screen. I don't recommend buying the A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller. ... show more

  • I Really Wanted to Like This I Really Wanted to Like This
Color: White
I wanted to like this clone of the Stream Deck (not to be confused with the Steam Deck) as it seemed like a cheap(er) clone of the 15-button version 2 (50% cheaper if bought on sale), but it has some major flaws that I couldn't overcome to like it -- it may work for your workflow. For starters, the official Elgato Stream Decks are relatively simple in their build featuring an LCD panel, controller chip, a rubber membrane (for the button spring action), and a resistive film .. that's it. Nothing magical to it, each "button" is just a section of the screen graphically, but they are not individual screens as some may think. This configuration allowed the device to do what other devices in the past could not -- have changeable button graphics without the huge expense associated with individual mini-panels, while also giving the tactile feedback that users desired (compared to just using a tablet). This allowed Elgato (now owned by Corsair) to command the market and set the price. The AJazz device is constructed the same way (see attached screenshots), almost like it came out of the same factory in China. The software you use to configure the display appears to be a clone of the Elgato software version 5, hence why the Elgato plugins work if you know how to copy them into the folder. The LCD panel seems to be of the same quality, the feedback from the buttons is pretty close to the official, and the key plastic feels good -- the only minor difference I can see is the key tops are flat for the AJazz, but have a slight concave for better ergonomics on the Elgato. The spacing between the keys are identical on both my devices. That sounds all good, so what's the problem? The fact that the majority of this devices plugin ecosystem is likely to rely on the Elgato plugin ecosystem means that Elgato has every motivation to combat this practice and I suspect that's why some reviews have said the plugin store disappeared for them. AJazz could release updates and the cat/mouse game could proceed, but given the fact that they don't even make acquiring the English version of the software as easy as it should be leads me to speculate this device won't have a long support cycle. I expect Elgato will introduce some form of DRM/license check into their plugin API's going forward (if they haven't already). The negative of this is that your AJazz device has a good probability of being limited to a specific version. But I hear you .. the price is so good, I can live with using old versions and never updating. Sure, you probably can. Functionality wise, the device seemed to perform almost on par with my Elgato as long as you're running an action from the view (e.g. your current view -> button press -> send's hotkey) you are on, but if you start getting into nested profiles and folders, the AJazz falls behind performance wise (again, I suspect this is where many reviewers highlight a "delay" issue). I measured the delay to be upwards of 1-2 seconds to refresh to a folder in some instances. In comparison, the Elgato does this in about 200ms or less. For my workflow which involves using folders/profiles as mini-menu's (think a comma-rose or flyout menu) for nested commands, this is a deal breaker for me. For someone who just wants to have 15 hotkeys on the screen, this is probably a manageable limitation. It's possible they could fix this in a firmware update, but I would not count on it. 3/5 stars for the value and build quality. It lost stars for the cumbersome way you have to acquire the software / chance you won't have long support, and the slow refresh. ... show more

  • Straightforward Setup, Works Well, and the Info Display is Great!
Color: White
I use this as hotkeys for a programming environment. I was able to add hotkeys for editing files, syntax check, compiling, debugging, etc. There are lots of options in the program used to set up the keys, but it only took a short while to figure it out. There are third-party plugins and icon packs available that can be installed in the setup program. I used one plugin and it worked well. I really like the "Info Display" feature, which is three additional displays (not buttons) that can show date/time, weather, and computer status such as CPU load, temperature, memory and disk usage, etc. I think this is a capable alternative to the Elgato Stream Deck with some additional features and a lower price. ... show more
