  • Nice unit with great features
Style: 7600 Watts Dual Fuel
A-iPower 7600 dual fuel. Have only had it for a couple of weeks. Bought for emergency house back up. Replacing a 20+ yr old unit. Much quieter, smaller and lighter than the old unit. Noise is also more mellow, fewer high freqs and more consistent sound. Had a minor problem with the propane hose regulator. Didn't allow flow, gave it a firm but not nasty tap. That got it working. transfer gas to propane and back is very seamless. Everything is working fine. Did the recommended 5 hour break in with varying loads, then the oil change. Have called the company for support and questions multiple times. No problems getting through and getting answers. Wish it had a remote connection for control by a home transfer switch and a second dual 120 v dual receptacle. Quite easy to transport. Unit is heavy but it puts out a lot of power (7600w) for it's weight and size, so that is expected. I don't expect to need it's full output and don't want to as I'm concerned with heat dissipation in the suitcase style, plus with the price point, I didn't want to push it to the max. Happy with the purchase, a lot of unit for the money. Time will tell regarding reliability, my old one is 20 years old and still going (5000w). Hope this one keeps giving a high level of service. Would buy again, power, flexibility of output voltages and fuel, size, noise, inverter technology, electric start. Great unit, great price, great features. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Style: Gas
Started on the 3rd pull after taking it off choke a little. Tested it on my 8000btu a/c first and it worked great - very little speed increase on ECO mode surprisingly. Then I put a 1875 watt hair dryer on it and the dryer ran fine although the generator could only provide 1587 watts ( which is close enough for it's advertised output) for it according to my watt meter. That bumped it up to full rpm naturally. On house current the dryer was pulling around 1850 watts. As far as noise goes, I was surprised how quiet it is. The youtube videos are deceptive, making it sound louder than it actually is. I did notice before starting it up that the generator was test run at the factory because of discoloration of the exhaust tube. I found that reassuring. Overall the quality looks excellent and it runs perfect, especially for a low priced model. Sorry, I can't find anything wrong with it! Update 8/24/20 Checked fuel consumption at a couple of different loads: *Window a/c 8000 BTU's @ 650 watts per hour continuous - 40% of rated load = 6.7 hours per gallon - Eco mode ON. *1500 watt electric heater. 94% load: 4.16 hours per gallon - Eco mode off. Update 6/20/2022 I just converted this over to natural gas and runs great. Full load watt capacity only dropped by 10-15 watts, but surge watts dropped more.. Hard to say how much, but I can tell there is a little more lag time when a 1500 watt load kicks in for engine to recover on eco mode. Nothing serious with what I run and I notice all generators take a bigger hit on surge when converted. It still starts my 8000 but A/c. with no problem. US Carburetion has kits for these. The only thing hard about the conversion is getting the inside nut off and back on the carb again. It would help a lot if you had another pair of hands in order to tilt the engine over on the mounts while one gets a little ratchet in there. I have not mastered starting the unit on NG yet and I might not. I am just putting about an ounce of gas in the tank and start it that way, then when the motor starts to stagger in a minute or two I start introducing the NG. Very easy this way and makes it it much cheaper to run compared to gasoline. All I have to do when the power goes out is start it and bring out of the garage a couple of feet and she'll just run and run. No more hauling gasoline or worrying if the gas is going bad is a huge benefit. Update 6/28/2022 As far as the surge problem goes with the generator running on NG, I discovered that if you eliminate the quick disconnect fittings from the gas line and plug the conversion kit fuel line that goes from the carburetor directly into the regulator thereby eliminating the tiny 3/16 barb fitting that they provide with the kit, it will make the generator run just as well as it does on gasoline. I think this may be why all the tri-fuel generators take such a drastic cut in performance because they don't allow for restrictive fittings. Take a look at the specs on a tri-fuel generator and look what they use for the fittings. Yup, quick disconnects. They have very tiny passageways. The problem is most pronounced when running in ECO mode when a large load hits the generator. Update 4/28/2023 I have 30 hours on it now so it should be pretty will broke in. I decided to clock my gas meter and check the Natural Gas usage at different loads today. It seems to do a little better on NG than on gasoline and not to mention that NG is 8 times cheaper than gasoline! Oil looks brand new yet, too. All ECO on No load idle = 12.82 hours Per cubit foot(PCF). Present Cost of Natura Gas is 45 cents PCF 435 watts = 10.13 hours PCF 950 watts = 7.15 hours PCF 1500 watts = 4.72 hours PCF https://www.amazon.com/DuoMax-XP13000HXT-000-Watt-Electric-Generator/dp/B092CJQ51F/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3LEV80YSW7N97&keywords=tri%2Bfuel%2Bgenerator&qid=1656459230&sprefix=tri%2Bfuil%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFGMTNHVUZQQ0pUSkUmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA3NTc2MjMzMTRDVjU2U0hOQU9NJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1MjExNjYyWDBWUkxUVFJaVDRRJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 ... show more

  • Great generator
Style: Gas
Had this for 2 months. Not. a long time but pretty impressed. Light weight, economical to run, quiet, easy start, has a fuel gage. Appears To be well made. I like honda but decided to try this one for sub $400.00

  • Seems like a really good backup when the power goes out.
Style: Gas & Propane
So this generator took a LONG time to finally ship but it arrived safely (thank you UPS) and in good condition inside the box. The box it came in said on the outside that it included a bottle of oil and the manual said it would include dc charging cables but neither were packaged with the generator (think they use the same box for all of their 2000 watt generators and got lazy with the print), but everything else like the funnel, spark plug wrench and parallel cables did. I connected a propane tank to it that I’ve had for a while but it didn’t startup right away...called A-IPower and (though it took about 10 minutes to speak with someone) it turns out that I was too low on propane for it startup (I was probably near empty). With a new tank connected and a few pulls later I was good to go. I let it run for a bit without a load and then connected a rotating heater rated at 1500 watts (which is the max when using propane) and the overload light never came on even after 15 minutes with the heater on high (the dark picture shows heater connected to the generator). I even plugged in my iPhone at the same time and it worked great! It’s still early but I’m very happy with my purchase so far. I will try to update after I get some more experience with it. The generator does feel like it is solidly built and from what I’ve read in the manual it seems that this senci motor is just a generic version of the Yamaha motor sold in the blue SUA2000 model. The unit is not light but is easy enough to carry around...I love the portability of it. As other reviewers have said the noise level is very good compared to the larger generators...Even at about two feet away you could carry on a conversation with someone without having to raise your voice and from inside your home you will barely even hear it. I would recommend getting the elongated flexible funnel and the magnetic dipstick like others have suggested. The flexible funnel made adding oil painless. So far I would say go for it if you are on the fence about purchasing it. Nice to have something like this as a backup. ... show more
