We bought this for traveling in the RV. It stores well in our under storage compartment. Ladder is sturdy and solid on the ground. While it is a 12’ ladder, we don’t feel safe enough to go to the top rung. There was a slight bow in the ladder at 2 rungs from the top. But for getting up on the rv roof it was fine. I grabbed this 3-step aluminum ladder and it's hands-down the best one I’ve owned. You can feel the quality—the frame is solid, the steps are wide and have great grip, and it doesn’t budge when you're on it. I'm a medium guy, and I appreciate that it’s rated for 800 lbs. It feels secure whether I'm changing lightbulbs, cleaning the RV roof, or hanging stuff in the garage or grabbing something from our tall cupboards. The safety lock that auto-engages when you step on the top rung is a smart touch, and unlocking it manually gives that extra peace of mind. It folds down slim enough to tuck behind a door or in a closet, which is a big plus for me with limited storage. Light enough to carry with one hand, but tough enough to handle real tasks—whether inside the house or out in the yard. While I can't make a claim that it will hold 800 pounds, it does hold me at 270 pounds and 6'8" to reach even things I can't reach without a step ladder. It didn't wobble and I had no issues with it when I had to use it to change light bulbs on a 9' ceiling.

    • Whoa. Way better than I expected
This thing is great!! At first when my boyfriend pulled it out of the box I was like - there's no way that's as heavy duty as they said. He set it up and I went to move it and realized it is way sturdier than it looks. It is sleek and easily folds to a 3 inch width that fits great in the vacuum closet. He weighs 250 and there were no creaking or other sounds that might be scary. Now...I don't know about 800 pounds...that seems a little far fetched but Universe-willing we will never have the opportunity to find out!!! I am really happy with this product. I was truly not expecting it to be this nice. I wouldn't call it a ladder but it's a perfect step-stool for watering plants and Spring cleaning that we are going to do over Memorial weekend. Anyway - highly recommended. I am truly surprised that people think it's 'meh.' They must have some seriously high class step-stools in their lives. ... show more

Pro - Space saving and convenient. Con - When fully extended, it's a little too flexible/wobbly to have complete confidence to be high up. (I purchased the 12' ladder.) Overall, a good purchase for the few and far between times I need to use it.
