Great light weight ladder. I would give it five stars but because of the weight you have to lean forward as you going down, in A frame mode. Otherwise ladder opposite leg will come off the ground. But I guess, that is expected of a light weight ladder. My previous was same style all steel but it was #40 and difficult to maneuver.

I love how it converts between multiple setups — A-frame, extension, staircase, 90° position, or even a scaffold base — making it perfect for everything from indoor ceiling work to outdoor roof jobs. The BLUF (bottom line up front) is that the DIAMONDFORGE three-step folding step stool and ladder with anti-slip features could step into the five-star spotlight with two or three thoughtful additions. When I compared it to a true five-star ladder it falls a step or two short. If the team at DIAMONDFORGE steps up their game, their ladder might climb to greatness. I compared the DIAMONDFORGE ladder with my trusted Cosco ladder, and the differences in quality, safety, and design are substantial. The Cosco ladder excelled in a variety of areas. To begin on a high step, the DIAMONDFORGE ladder certainly makes a strong first impression. The matte red finish is sharp, clean, and without a single blemish. Aesthetically, it takes a confident first step and could double as a very stylish plant stand. However, the measurements tell a different story. The DIAMONDFORGE individual steps measure 11 7/8 inches across and 7 7/8 inches deep. In contrast, the Cosco steps offer 13 1/8 inches across and a generous 10 7/8 inches in depth. That extra space underfoot translates to greater stability and confidence with every step. The most substantial misstep (the one that cost the DIAMONDFORGE ladder a star) is the absence of an upper hand grip or brace on the DIAMONDFORGE ladder. When standing on the top step, there is nothing to grab onto. This missing feature is a big misstep in an otherwise solid design. At the time I purchased it, the DIAMONDFORGE ladder offered a very compelling value at its introductory price. I am unable to comment on its current value since the product was not available at the time of this review (August 2025). The DIAMONDFORGE three-step ladder is a good, sturdy product. It just needs two or three more thoughtful steps to reach the top shelf of five-star ladders. To paraphrase Neil Armstrong said, “A small step ladder for humankind, that just needs a small leap to make it to five stars.”
