The good part: The lift is packed well, is beefy and well made. The not so good: The instructions are not clear on every step. Difficult for a first timer, but if you put together lifts for a living, you wouldn’t use these instructions anyway. If you purchase this lift for residential use, you might consider having someone assemble this for you. I have a forklift and all the proper tools, but there’s a few issues I found that you will have to overcome on your build. It is not clear from the paperwork that the hydraulic piston is a pusher. You will need to have a come-along to connect to the hydraulic piston to the cross-bar and pull it out to the extended position so you can thread the steel cables through the posts. The limit switch mounting holes on the hydraulic motor post are 1/2” too high and do not allow the limit switch to deflect properly and turn the unit off in the up position. I had to drill and tap a new hole so I could move the body of the limit switch down to the correct position. The rotating rod mechanism that is used for lowering the lift came from the factory with the cams 90° out of phase. There was no way to get this control to work properly. I had to abandon the pre-drilled holes in the connecting rod, rotate one of the cams 90°, and drill a new set of holes. I then Installed some low profile connecting hardware so the rod would clear on rotation. You will have to furnish your own 6 mm nuts to lock the end of the tie rods on the lifting mechanism. There was no lock nut hardware provided. The unit did not come with enough quarter inch tube for the hydraulic return from the deck to the motor. It came with only 14” of tubing. It was also missing the 1/4” fitting for the motor. You’ll have to go out and buy 6 feet of quarter inch tube and the proper fitting to the hydraulic motor. One of the wheel dolly’s had a manufacturing defect with welding that had to be ground off so the wheel set could fit around the post. The manufacturer did call me after I placed the order with Amazon to get a confirmation on my home address and phone number for the delivery. Unfortunately, they did not give me a call to let me know what day the lift would be delivered. This is important because I needed to standby with my forklift to offload it from the truck. It was delivered a week early (there was a one week date range given on Amazon when I purchased the product) without notifying me. I found out it was at my house (while I was out) when I got a phone call from the truck driver when he arrived at the front gate. I don’t normally do reviews on products, but this is the kind of information I would want to know before I made a purchase like this.
