I have two of these units, each connected to a Renogy 100 Ah deep AGM battery. One backs up a 5 Amp freezer, another backs up a 2 Amp garage fridge. I have had no power failures yet to test them with but have tested each by unplugging them from the wall. It takes 1-2 seconds for a unit to begin drawing from the battery. Both systems work as advertised. I ran the fridge for 12 hours as a trial, then plugged it back in. Wall current kicked in almost immediately, and the battery began to charge; that took roughly 12 hours. As a trial I plugged a 3-outlet adaptor into one of the units and connected both a freezer and a house fridge; it powered both units for the 6 hours that I ran the test for. This may not be recommended by SEC but I had no problem. I had some questions and concerns and spoke with SEC people both on email and on phone. Customer service was first rate. I also have had a model 1622 pump sentry working for 2 years. Functioned well during a power failure and kept my 3/4 sump pump running until the power returned. I am glad that I have these 3 units.

[5/11/2024] Although the product eventually did not work for my pump, the customer support/sales guy from SEC America issued a refund after I've sent the product back to them. [4/6/2024] After a long while, I've sent it back to the manufacturer for what they called an "upgrade". After 2 weeks it came back just to have the very same problem (i.e. when connected to battery it refuses to start the sump pump when activated). Meanwhile the "return window" closed and now I'm waiting to see if/how can return it. Trying to replace an 822PS (that works in all scenarios but apparently is *not* designed for pedestal pumps) with this. They look the same (i.e. same package, same sturdy box, same buttons but different stickers and hopefully different electronics) but this 933 works only when connected to AC power and it charges the battery just fine (which now floats around 12.8V). Pump draws about 5.8A when is on. When the AC is OFF the pump does *not* start (i.e. the inverter does not switch to battery backup power for whatever reason). I've also checked the fuses - both of them are OK. I've contacted the support, they were super helpful and I'm hoping to get it replaced in which case I'll update the rating and the review.

The media could not be loaded. Little pricey but worth the money Good quality build And has a 10 amp triple charger Quiet when running would recommend Used other inverter it ran the pellet stove but as soon as the blower kicked on it would not

It seems like a well built unit but it does not function like the instructions say. It has a hum all the time which I am thinking is the control relay coil being pulled in. Runs my pump no problem but the fan comes on the minute power is lost sucking energy unnecessarily from the battery with no load on it shortening the the run time. Seems to charge the battery correctly. Will see how it does when we have water in our sump pit next rain.

Very easy to install, hope to never need its services but having a pellet stove kind of mandates a battery backup system. Testing it via the instructions, this device works as expected. When you unplug the power the unit automatically switched to the deep cell battery source, when the power is back on it again automatically switches back to electric service and charges the battery back to full. Peace of mind especially at night while sleeping. Pricey, but i recommend this to anyone.

When I ordered I could not figure out why $795. But I did so based upon positive reviews. When arrived I realized this is a very solid piece of serious electrical equipment. Even came with heavy duty battery cables with very good connectors I have not hooked up yet but I’m confident this this will do as well as reviewed Oh and the owners manual is GOLD. Well written in English. Not a so so translation like so many others.
