  • Quite and Effective Performance in Both Cooling and Heat Modes.
Set name: 18,000 BTU, 230V, 20 SEER2
This 18,000 BTU mini split air conditioner cools the room quickly and maintains a comfortable temperature without constantly cycling on and off. I have also used the heating mode, and it provides steady, effective warmth, making this a practical year-round system rather than just an air conditioner. The indoor unit runs quietly, Even when it is actively cooling, the sound is low and consistent rather than distracting. Sleep mode is especially useful at night because it reduces the noise further and dims the display. The WiFi connection and app controls have worked reliably for me. I can adjust the temperature, change modes, set the fan speed, or turn the unit on before entering the room. The included remote is also straightforward to use, and features such as auto swing, ECO mode, Turbo, and Follow-Me provide plenty of control without making the system feel complicated. Installation and initial setup went smoothly, although proper electrical connections and refrigerant-line installation should be handled by someone experienced with mini split systems. Once installed, the unit started operating correctly and has remained consistent. This ductless mini split delivers strong cooling, dependable heating, quiet operation with convenient WiFi controls. It has been an efficient and worthwhile solution for maintaining a comfortable temperature in my larger room. ... show more

  • So far, working great....
Set name: 12,000 BTU, 115V, 22 SEER2
Man, it's freezing cold in here and this new unit is using a lot less power than the smaller window unit it's replacing. Compressor is so quiet and vibration free I can't hear/feel it running on the other side of a sliding glass door. Amazing. Hope to enjoy it for many trouble free years ahead. For the down side: The operating manual is something else. It tells you how to go through the different modes but doesn't tell you what each of them do exactly or how the unit behaves under each of the modes. Like, the very wide temperature setting swing. You may need to set the temperature 6 degrees above what you want the room to be while in cooling mode b/c it doesn't shut off when the set temperature is reached. It just put itself in 'idle' mode and keep the compressor running on low power and continue to blow out cold air. Like, Auto mode will turn on the heat when the room is colder than the set temperature when it's hot outside....huh ? Like, Health mode is what ? There's a built in air purifier of some sort ??? You will have to explore the menus. If you are going to DIY: While the first time DIY installation was an adventure in itself and I ended up with a bunch of tools I didn't plan on buying, it was fairly straight forward 'almost' like what's in the video. Here's what's not in the video. -Measure and plan out where you are going to put everything. -You can comfortably mount the compressor on a wood frame wall, it's that quiet. -There are 13 feet of refrigerant hoses but the control cable may ended up being a foot shorter, depending on placement. Longer hose sets are available for not much money if you need it. -Comparing to the copper tubing you can get at hardware stores, the refrigerant hoses are fairly soft and easily deformed, be careful. -Indoor unit is only 20 lbs -ish, while mounting it to a stud is preferable, several good drywall anchors will be fine - just don't use the ones that came with the unit, they are not for drywall. -Hook up the hoses and wires to the indoor unit while it's on the ground, I did it the hard way-up in the air. -Make the pass-through hole in the wall bigger than you actually need, like 3 inches. -Carefully align the tubing (hose) and flare fitting and keep them straight as you tighten the nut, the nut won't keep them straight and then the flare will shear off. -Use your hand to tighten the nut as tight as you can, then crescent or open end wrenches, this will help keep the flare from slipping. Finally, finish with torque wrench. OTOH, 'good and tight' with crescent wrenches like in the installation video and instruction book seems to be good enough. If the flare slipped and sheared off, putting on new flare is easy, you will just need more tools. -If everything went well and the system holds vacuum for an hour, slowly turn on the gas valve just enough to get 100 psi or so on the gauge then shut off the valve and quickly disconnect the hose at the compressor before turning both of the valves fully on. This will minimize the refrigerant loss and won't squirt you with liquids. ... show more

  • The customer service and product are trashhhhhhhhh.
Set name: 12,000 BTU, 115V, 22 SEER2
If I could give it and their customer service a 0 I would. Paid someone to install to find the heat doesn’t turn on at all, fans or anything, and when on and when I turn on the AC it blows hot air. Contacted seller and after weeks of conversation and bitching they sent me the inside half and asked me to pay full price to get another whole unit sent as it was out of stock. They made me cut the brand new unit I just paid 500 for to shreds to discuss sending me another new unit. then proceeded to run me in circles. The worse buying experience I’ve ever had. Do not buy. ... show more

  • Great Unit
Set name: 12,000 BTU, 115V, 22 SEER2
Installed this unit in my Florida room. Install went smooth. No surprises. Unit is super quiet and cools the area quickly, even in SW Florida summer heat. Even though this is considered a Chinese no-name brand it’s most likely sourced from the same manufacturer as many higher end units. Time will tell if this unit lasts but for under $500 and at 22 SEER, you’ll get immediate bang for your buck. Unit came securely packed with all necessary hardware. Flare ends on lineset were smooth. Easy DIY project if you have a few specialty tools and have access to a vacuum pump. ... show more

  • Mini Split AC
Set name: 18,000 BTU, 230V, 20 SEER2
I bought this mini split after adding a large workshop onto the back of my garage. The space stayed uncomfortable year round, and running ductwork wasn’t really an option, so I decided to try a ductless system. Everything arrived well packed, and I was impressed that the installation kit included so many of the parts I needed. The indoor unit has a clean look, and once it was mounted the setup process was more straightforward than I expected, although the WiFi connection took me a couple tries to get right. After using it for several weeks, it’s kept the room consistently comfortable through hot afternoons and cooler evenings. It cools the space much faster than the portable unit I had before, and switching over to heat on chilly mornings has been just as easy. One thing I really appreciate is how quiet it runs. I can work at my bench or watch TV without constantly hearing the system cycle on and off. The remote and phone app have both been convenient, especially when I want the room comfortable before I head outside. The unit has been reliable so far, and I haven’t noticed any unusual noises or performance issues. My electric bill didn’t jump as much as I expected either, which was a pleasant surprise. If you’re looking to heat and cool a larger room, garage, workshop, or addition without installing traditional ductwork, I think this is a solid option worth considering. ... show more

  • Excellent performance so far and a smooth DIY installation experience
Set name: 12,000 BTU, 115V, 22 SEER2
This is my second DIY mini-split installation using a unit purchased from Amazon, and I’m very pleased with this Temprium 12,000 BTU mini split so far. My first mini-split, which was a different brand purchased a couple of years ago, arrived without a refrigerant pre-charge. Because of that experience, I was a little cautious about buying another mini-split through Amazon. Thankfully, this purchase exceeded my expectations. The installation and startup went smoothly, and the unit has now been running for about a week in 100-degree outdoor temperatures without any issues. It has performed flawlessly so far. A couple of things are worth mentioning. My order shipped in two separate deliveries. The indoor unit arrived first, and the outdoor unit arrived the next day. Amazon tracking showed the order as delivered after the first box arrived, so don’t panic if that happens. The second box may simply be arriving separately. For installation, the included line set was roughly 10 to 15 feet. That may be enough for many installations, but my install was upstairs, so I needed additional line length. I was able to make it work using leftover fittings and tubing from a previous installation, but if I were doing it again, I would plan ahead and make sure I had the correct additional line set, fittings, and tools before starting. Because I had to modify and extend the line set, I was a little concerned about leaks. I pulled a vacuum for about an hour and a half, closed the valve, and let it sit for several hours. It held vacuum, so I released the refrigerant, and everything has continued to hold and operate properly. My biggest takeaway for other DIY installers is to plan the installation carefully before you reach the final startup stage. By the time you are ready to release refrigerant, there is already a lot invested in the job. If I do another one, I would make sure I have the materials to do a proper pressure test (N2) and would also use a more precise digital vacuum gauge. Overall, I’m very happy with this unit. It arrived properly charged, started up smoothly, has handled extreme heat well, and has been running quietly and reliably so far. ... show more

  • Price went up in a day!
I missed the sale by a day and within 2 days it went up in price from 700 to 900. Same item and I get the first up in price since sale was over but not the next up a day after that. Gouging prices! The machine is fine and does what it should but these are not that expensive typically. Boo on you!!
