Purchased for My 2009 Yamaha Vstar 950. Item looked to be an exact replacement from the Factory Tire which had roughly 25k on prior to replacing with this tire. I had to cut the bead after removing one side of the original tire during the home tire removal process witch worried me a bit for the install, but... Lots of soapy water, patience and making sure you use your weight to hold things in place.. I proved to myself that even though not a fun day. It can be done on your own.(at home) As for the tread life of the tire? I hope to get 20k out of it. ... show more

Bought my bike with 2,000 miles on it. I put 5,000 more miles on the bike. When I took the bike in for an oil change and safety check they pointed out that my rear tire was worn through. I would have liked to have gotten a higher mileage tire, but the price, the ride and the fact that it was OEM lured me back. Rear tire only had 5900 miles on it and all kinds of wire is already showing. These aren't cheap tires so this is unacceptable
