It's hard to make a short-term review for items that you're planning on having for a long time. I can only speak to what it's been like for this brief time. It's been excellent. As a mechanic of 20+ years, this driver is on the heavier side (coming from pneumatic), but that doesn't negate the reliability and power this particular unit provides. It's strong in terms of torque, and I haven't had any issues with it up to this point. I think I bought it because of its compatibility with other drivers' batteries that I also use, which has been good as well. Again. Take my review with a grain of sand, this is merely a short term, two project, review. I haven't put it through it's paces. But I'm terms of ease of use and battery life, it has been, as anything that you hope to buy, excellent. I have 3 impact drivers. 1 for super heavy duty, this for all medium duty, and one for light duty. If this continues working in the way that it is currently, it will most certainly remain in my tool lineup. Good luck

This stupid gun is BETTER than Milwaukee lol. I’m serious guys. I laughed when I saw this and bought it for fun. I swear this thing is insanely strong and really good. I’ve dropped it and ran it non stop on lugnuts till it was smoking hot LITERALLY SMOKING. It still works fine. The gun is stupid strong! Very good torque. I’m really impressed by this gun. Whether you’re a a do it yourself guy, side shop or startup shop or just want a backup gun that uses the same batteries as your other guns. You won’t be disappointed. And no they didn’t pay me to write this and it wasn’t free. I bought it for fun and I’m legit impressed. I’ll probably buy another because honestly why spend hundreds on Milwaukee? Save the money!

I hesitated to not buy a Mil impact, but this guy is impressive. I bought it ONLY for swapping wheels around with zero expectations. It will yank off lug nuts torqued to 100 ft/lbs with zero issues. I swapped around 8 wheels with 1 smaller battery, it never missed a beat! All honesty, even after tightening the 8th wheel down it was STILL putting out over 100 ft/lbs of torque. This guy has earned a spot along my wall of MIl 18v tools, for sure! I will try some more tough tasks for it later, but it just laughs at lugnuts ;) I'm really going to look into this brand zero complaints with the impact. (Update) Been using this impact for everything, basically abusing it and it just works. I just pulled off the suspension on a rusty Nissan truck, this thing was a monster. I'd buy a spare but honestly think this will outlast me. I will not hesitate to buy this brands other tools!

I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical at first, knowing I needed a tool that could hold up to daily professional use as an independent roadside assistance contractor. However, this ReliaRoads 1/2" cordless impact wrench completely blew me away with its sheer amount of power. It has handled everything I’ve put it to the test on. It breaks lug nuts loose with ease on everything from standard sedans to medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks—I haven't had to break out a manual breaker bar once since I started using it. The only thing to keep in mind is that this listing is for the tool only, so it does not come with batteries or accessories. You will need to bring your own compatible battery setup. That aside, the tool itself is more than capable of handling a professional workload, at least for my daily roadside calls. If it can handle that, it will easily perform for personal or DIY use. Highly recommended!

I work as a mechanic in a power plant. I bought this impact so I didn't have to get one out of the tool room for small jobs. It has surpassed my expectations bar far. I have used it everyday for 6 months now. Just used it to replace an expansion joint on a 18inch line with 1 5/8 bolts and this gun broke the line rust covered bolts free with ease. And the fact there are the Milwaukee m18 batteries in the tool room kept me from buying batteries. Other guys from my job have been ordering these.

I bought it to do ancillary work on my RV. I had a flat tire and was surprised it had no problem removing the lug nuts. Very impressed. Just buy it. It is a bit bulky, but it does the job!

Some of these lesser-known-brand tools feel like a toy. Not that it matters necessarily. I bought a very budget-friendly cordless power washer in banana yellow here on Amazon that feels like it's about to fall apart at any moment, but it doesn't... and that thing sprays like crazy! Anyone I show it to immediately wants one. But still, there's just something about a quality-made tool. The little things, like how fast it comes to a stop and the smoothness of the action matters to us guys. Well, don't fret; I was quite impressed by the solid feel and smooth and deliberate motion of this tool. There's nothing jerky about it, no play, none of that. It feels like it was actually designed by someone who cares, yanno? The only impacts I have any experience with to compare this to are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I have the DeWalt DCF887 and the mighty DCF961. This impact falls pretty much exactly in the center between those two. For a quick review of these tools, the torque specs are like this: DCF887 - 150 ft-lbs Reliaroads - 900 ft-lbs DCF961 - 1,900 ft-lbs Why buy this if I have the king of impact wrenches? Several reasons, actually... 1. This impact weighs a third of what the 961 weighs. With a 9Ah FlexVolt battery, the 961 is almost 13 lbs! If that doesn't sound like a lot, try holding that straight out at full arm extension for 5 minutes. I guarantee you can't do it! 2. It costs a small fraction of the 961 too. So if a task doesn't need ungodly torque, I'd rather put the wear on this than that. It's just economics. 3. I can keep this in my truck and not cry if it gets stolen or damaged. 4. If you're looking to get an impact for roadside emergency purposes because you know what a joke it can be to remove a stubborn lug nut with a tire tool, this is all you need. One other point I noted about this tool is that the manual only specified the breakaway torque (reverse) for each of the three gears. It doesn't mention the fastening torque (forward). On the 961, the two are wildly different. So I wrote the company, and they replied within 24 hours. They said that the fastening torque is 85% of the breakaway torque values, which I understand to be pretty typical. So just multiply the breakaway torque for each gear by 0.85 and that's your fastening torque. So far, in my limited experimentation with the tool, I have no cause to doubt that. Testing, I happened to have an old axle with a serviceable axle nut on it to play with, so I grabbed a 32mm impact socket and used the 961 (in LOW gear) to fasten that sucker on there at 500 ft-lbs. The Reliaroads (in HIGH gear) hammered at it for maybe 2 seconds before spinning it off. For any kind of roadside service on a vehicle less than 10 years old, that's gonna get ya done! [ FYI: I used a 9Ah FlexVolt battery on the 961 and a compact 4Ah on the Reliaroads (both DeWalt branded). So, I highly recommend the newer 4Ah DeWalt batteries (that aren't just a stack of 18650's) for maximum power-to-weight ratio. I didn't repeat the test with the gigantic 9Ah battery on the Reliaroads, but there really isn't much room for improvement anyway. ]
