The gold version came with a black cord & only 2 feet of gold chain, only loosely attached to the cord every 4 links or so. Both ruined the look. As this fixture was inexpensive, I did the following: 1) rewired it using a 20 foot spool of clear cord from Home Depot. It’s easy; instructions on YouTube. 2) strung the chain through each link. Decided not to add more chain. 3) bought these Edison bulbs which look AWESOME in it: Sunlite 40140 LED Filament T12 Tubular Light Bulb, 3 Watts (40W Equivalent), 350 Lumens, ETL Listed, 100 mm, Medium E26 Base, Dimmable, 2700K Warm White, 6 Pack https://a.co/d/2cMJNpQ plus another 2 single bulbs. 4) though only using 40 watt equivalent bulbs, the fixture was BRIGHT so I got a Leviton plug-in dimmer (no wiring needed; plug the dimmer into the wall & the fixture into the dimmer. ) I have been using the light for week or so & all is well; Dimmer works great, light looks fantastic! ... show more

I’m really happy with my purchase! It’s bright & took me 5 minutes to install. I looped up the chain for a cleaner look & waiting on a cord cover so that the black cord doesn’t show for a more fixed look. I will update photos when it arrives!

This is literally the next best thing. Easy for a DIYer to install & it looks so lux. I installed a chord cover to hide the black wire so it look a bit more finished.
