The colors in this Vintage Collection area rug are a little more muted than we expected. The pattern is visually appealing, and the burst effect in the center looks great in an area under a ceiling light. This rug comes with floor grips, but it stays in place without them. This rug is extremely soft and plush. In fact, it is almost too smooth. When we are wearing socks or barefoot, it can be quite slippery to the point that we have to be cautious and intentionally slow down when walking across it. We have placed the rug in our hallway for now, but we will probably move it to a low-traffic area where there’s less chance of someone slipping on it. That said, the super softness of this rug feels nice underfoot.

This comes tightly shrink wrapped in two layers of plastic for shipping and protection so when you unwrap it, it needs to breath, it has many creases. You think it is never going to flatten out. Be paitent. This is man made material it is not wool, not a persian rug, the dye is not all the way through the thread, this is some kind of topical coloring process, it is not dye fast. And that is OK. Just know what this is. The creases are very noticable at the begining but they really do flatten out after a few days/to a week. Vacuum and the rug looks great. And the manufactuer even includes instructions informing us of this opening process. Very thoughtful due probably to an influx of complaints. Rest assured it will look beautiful. Give it time to breath. The rug is fairly thin but not overly so and this makes it easier to handle in a large size, not stiff like a wool rug might be, this rug is fairly flexible which makes it easier to lay down, unwrap, move around, roll or fold up. Lot of benefits to this ease of handling. The non-slip backing seems really nice and works well on solid surface floors and locks in on over carpet situations. Very nice construction. A wool persian rug of course would be great, but this man made rug has several positives at a fraction of the price. 1. very soft not itchy like some wool but the dye is not super fast thru the fibers either, the dye/stain/paint/etc., is only topically applied to the fibers, still the color is maybe not as vibrant as a wool rug, it is still very nice and attractive. 2. Using a cream color base background (as this rug does) and pastels instead of primary colors means the colors blend well and look well together. They don't have to be sharp, they can fade over time, and this all makes for a nice multi-purpose area rug that can look good over time even as it fades. 3. This rug really does lay out flat nicely over several days and a couple nice vacuums. The colors do look nice . 4. I like the look. Good value. Very happy. 5 stars.

This rug is so soft and the price is so good. But, it looks like a printed rug and isn't as pretty as I was hoping it would be. It is works, but could be better. It is very soft and easy to clean.

When it arrived, I thought it was going to have crease damage (it is TIGHTLY shrink-wrapped and had so many creases) and be low quality (it is lightweight). I couldn't have been more wrong, though. After a couple of days and a solid vacuuming it fluffed up and looked beautiful! It's a synthetic material but is quite soft. I have had other similar rugs and experienced significant fiber shedding but, so far, I've experienced very little of that with this rug. The non-slip backing is just that: non-slip. I tested it on hardwood flooring and on carpeting and, in both instances, the rug didn't move. Great since I have rambunctious dogs that love to play on the rug. The colors are neutral so it goes well with most decor. If you're looking for a brightly-colored rug then this likely won't be for you. I really love the way it looks in the room as it doesn't draw attention to it so the focus is on my other decor. But it creates a warm and inviting feeling over the hardwood floor. I would love to post photos but, before I got a chance to take any, the dogs ate the rug. Time for another one!

First this is really beautiful and one of the softest rugs I've every owned. It's so soft that it's almost velvety feeling. I feel that the price is good for the quality and it does have a little cushion which is really nice. While this isn't an issue for me, this could be an issue for some; if you are wearing socks, it's pretty slippery. My husband and I fun slipping on it like one of those 80's slide work out videos, but if this is for someone who has issues with balance, walking or the elderly, I would probably pass on this one. We've only had in in our home for a few days so that may get better. I vacuumed it and there was hardly any fibers that came out of it. I was a bit worried about some of the creasing because it makes the print look inconsistent, but as we have walked on it and it has settled, that has evened out and looks fine. I feel like this is going to be great for a bedroom. I don't know how it would hold up to a lot of foot traffic, I don't think it's that kind of rug. But if you have a space where you encourage people to sit on the floor, like a meditation room, this rug is a dream. My immediate thought when I opened it was that I want to lie down on it because it was soooooo soft.
