I'm always leery of buying a big item online without actually seeing and touching it. But the colors and style of this rug were so beautiful, and the price was unbelievable, so I bought it since I knew I could return it if needed. Many of the reviews said this rug is "too thin". I did not find that to be true. It's not plush like $100 a sq yard carpeting, but it is velvety soft, feels wonderful to walk on and the construction is high quality. I unfolded it and there is not one issue with the edging, the color, the nap, or the backing. I rolled it up overnight and if the creases are still visible, I will steam it. Actually, the creases seemed to flatten out quite easily. I bought the 8x10 so if I choose to launder it in the future, it will definitely need to be taken to a laundromat with large machines. I can't imagine doing this in a regular machine at home. All in all, I am 100% satisfied with this beautiful rug and would not hesitate to purchase it again. ... show more

With a family of four and two long-haired Chihuahuas, we were looking for a circular Boho style rug to put under our small round dining room table I knew that it had to be washable! We already had a (5 foot) rug under the table but I felt that it was too pale for the room and I thought that layering a darker (4 foot) rug on top top of it would give us the punch that I felt like the room needed. Upon taking this out of the package, I was first stuck with how soft the rug was, and I loved the clarity and vibrancy of the print. I have a thing for birds so it was very very happy to see that there are birds in the design. Also there is no odor to the rug which is great. The rug was in pretty smooth shape right out of the package but I put it in the dryer for 10 minutes with a wet washcloth to smooth out any remaining wrinkles and that did the trick. We love the way the rug anchored the table and tied the whole room together, and we are thrilled that when it needs washing we can just wash it right at home! ... show more

Maybe I should rate this lower than 4 stars, but I really like the looks of this rug. The colors are bright and pretty, it's soft. I did notice that the edge started to have loose threads within like a week of putting it down, before I even attempted to vacuum or anything, with it being in our bedroom. This also was happening to another rug similar to this one we order from somewhere else so maybe it's just us. *Disclaimer: we have two cats that get zoomies and run around crazy chasing each other* I like that this rug is that chenille material because when our cats do try to pluck at it there's nothing really for their claws to grab and pull loose threads from (except the edge I suppose, but ive never caught them plucking at that part) like our other rug with the carpet material. My dog did have a peepee accident on the rug and after cleaning it the best I could I washed it for the first time following the instructions. My 5x7 fit well in my machine accordion folded. While the color and everything still look good and there's not any new loose threads, to my surprise it shrunk! Picture with the coffee table is before washing it and picture with the cat is after washing it. My tiles are 1 ft tiles so the measurements are all right there. I also posted a picture of some of the worst pulled threads. And for a bit of added annoyance, the rug is thin enough that my vacuum cleaner sucks it up making it difficult to vacuum. I would think maybe a light weight cordless vacuum might work well on this material but my regular Bissell, even on the tallest setting, doesn't work well. I've had this rug for about 2 months and I really wanted to order this same rug but larger for my living room however, now I'm not so sure. The washability seems great for pet owners but if you have heavy duty pets it maybe not be a good buy. The durability is questionable at best. It's a pretty rug. I like the tree of life, especially when it's done tastefully and beautifully. In paintings jewelry, what have you? It's just I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this or not. It's nothing wrong with it, it's very pree, but there is another rug that I have been wanting, and I think i'm going to send it back and get that rug instead, it's more of a baroque style rug. Very beautiful and it's just I don't know. I'm thinking about it. I might save the rug. I might put it upstairs in the upstairs bedroom. I have 2 bedrooms upstairs, but for the moment basically it's durable. It's soft, it's the size I need it which was 5 / 7. And you know, it has a couple of creases, but that's from being folded other than that, it's wrinkle resistant.
