It has taken a while to lay flat, but that's how it goes with rugs that come folded and vacuum-packed. Everyone who has seen it, just loves it, though; I couldn't be happier with this rug! It is thin and maybe at some point I will put a mat under it for cushion, but maybe not; it is fine as it is and great for the grandkids to set up blocks and other toys. I bought this based on a review from a lady who has big dogs. This rug might be dirty at this point, but I can’t tell! It’s the perfect color! It’s very easy to clean. I haven’t tried to put it in the washing machine yet because it’s very big. I might take it to a professional to have it cleaned. it’s very comfortable with the pad that I bought for it. Overall it’s a wonderful rug and perfect for my family. Six month update: This rug is too big even for my extra large front loader. After six months, It really needed a good cleaning, But it still looked fantastic. I bought a small Hoover steam cleaner, And it came out looking better than brand new. It’s super soft, Very well-made, and with the right minimal equipment, (steam cleaner, handheld carpet cleaner) This carpet is super easy to care for! I absolutely love it!
