This is kinda a pain to get on/off, and I feel like they could have made it better every time I have to take it off I feel like I'm gonna break it. And you can't charge it while it's on cause it totally covers up the USB port. Wish they had thought this through better. Also wish they made it extend just a bit more to accommodate my iPad mini.

The product fit the controller and my switch lite and phone perfectly. It clicked onto the controller very snuggly. However after about a month of using it the little plastic pegs broke and now it doesn't hold the top and bottom parts together. I'm using a twist tie to keep it together but it wobbles and will probably break more as I use it. Don't recommend if you're traveling or on the go with it.

So all the descriptions and reviews say that this clip will not fit the Nintendo Switch. One person even says they modified the clip to fit the Switch. I found a way, and I didn't have to modify a thing. All I had to do was use rubber bands. The thicker, stronger ones are best for this. It's simple: First, take the joycons off the Switch. Then put one rubber band around the bottom area (of course make sure not to obstruct your view of the game), and another around the top. Then cradle it onto the clip, pulling the back of the bottom rubber band around so it'll hold the bottom in place. For the top rubber band, pull out the clip's extension a bit and hook it onto that area. You can twist the rubber band around to form a full circle if you want. This will hold your Switch snuggly in place, and at first will prevent it from falling out at all (though be careful as the rubber bands will weaken over time). As a bonus I found, you can even do this to make the thing useful for vertically-oriented games (like a lot of classic Shmups from the Arcade Archives)! So basically... just get some rubber bands and this'll work for the Switch just fine.

I purchased this for my husband who is enjoying some games while on bedrest. Pros: It was very easy to assemble – took less than a minute – and clips onto the 8Bitdo controller well. It’s pretty clever in that it’s designed for the weight of the phone to anchor it into place via small notches in the controller. However, it’s nearly as easy to remove if you lift the clip off the controller and may catch you off guard so beware. The material is also a matte black, in my case, which doesn’t surface smudges or fingerprints. Cons: Other reviewers have said that the plastic can feel cheap and there’s some truth to that. Although it feels to be the same material as the 8Bitdo controller and probably chosen to keep the weight down, it could stand to feel more substantial. It also doesn’t feel quite as secure when using a phone with a case versus without. I’d be interested in seeing a revision of this product, but it absolutely gets the job done for $10.

I know that this is a pretty damning review score. This thing works. It feels plenty durable. It holds it up pretty okay. But for me, the fact that it blocks the charging port is such an issue for me. Given how long the battery life is, that's probably not so big of a deal, but for me personally I'd really like to just be able to leave this design on and maybe forget about it? Maybe take the top half off and leave the "cradle" on for all the time inbetween. Maybe the Pro 2 fixes these complaints, so maybe this review is pointless? But I mean, this is very nit-picky for me. If it blocking the port isn't a big deal at all, then I'd recommend it. But for me, it's kind of a big deal breaker.

It's not bad for most phones with a case, the clip is a little tight to the controller which is okay for the most part though I'm not comfortable with the feeling that you might break the clip trying to take it off the controller when you want to charge the controller itself, that being said I use a 6 inch android phone with a case on it and it holds it in very well. I honestly would like to have had a way to charge the controller without taking the clip off other than that it is a solid choice and better than just standing your phone on something random like I was doing before unless you're cool with that.
