This is my new favorite controller. While I generally prefer the Xbox style layout versus the PlayStation layout (i.e., the sticks offset vs the sticks next to each other) the tricks this controller has up it's sleeve - and it's overall comfort - are so good that it well more than offsets that (though, IF you're listening 8bitdo and do happen to feel like making a variant that has the left stick and d-pad swapped....sign me up for 2 please!) So what makes this controller so great? In short, flexibility. You can use the software and onboard profiles to set it up for nearly anything you want - and have it paired to up to 4 different devices at one time, each with MULTIPLE profiles. So pair it to your Android phone, iPad, MacBook and Switch - all stored and available at the flip of a switch - yes please! And then for each of those, you can have multiple profiles to flip between by pressing a button so you can set the controller up for different types of games or specific games you play a lot. The best way to use this though is, in my opinion, to fix the single biggest issue on the Nintendo Switch - the lack of analog triggers in racing games. IF you're a big racing game fan (and I am) then you know playing your favorite racers on Switch can be trouble - while arcade-y type racers like Mario Kart work great with full on / full off throttle and brakes, sims like MotoGP don't do as well - nor do even middle ground games like Need for Speed. Well, connect your shiny new "Pro 2" controller via a USB-C to USB-A cable (included), download the Ultimate software from the 8bitdo site and you can create a profile that let's you map the Pro 2's analog triggers to be read by the Switch as up/down (vertical) movement on the right analog stick (and then the stick to replicate the triggers so you don't lose those). Create that as the "second" profile and leave the default mapping as the standard layout. Now when you go into a racing game that supports using right stick for throttle swap to that second profile by pressing a button - and you have analog trigger gas and brakes!! I tried it with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and MotoGP and it works for both. Amazing. Overall build quality and ease of use is great - and while there are cheaper Bluetooth controllers out there, I haven't found one even at a HIGHER price that can do half of what this can do. Connects easily with my android phone's Bluetooth. The battery lasts for several hours, for me that means a couple weeks of game play when I play for about an hour daily. Works with all the emulators I've tried it with, but sometimes you have to map the buttons each time you open the emulator, which takes a minutes, so no biggie. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The SNES is among my favorite consoles to play, and being in my 30’s, it’s a perfect marriage between classic & familiar controller design and modernized connectivity to various devices. The buttons are satisfyingly clicky, and the additions of extended grips for comfort, shoulder buttons & triggers, support for various connections (Bluetooth, X-input, etc.), as well as extra buttons for various functions (screenshots on Steam Deck/Switch, Home Menu) are all excellent modernizations to a familiar design. The case is also of premium quality, and perfectly fits my other Xbox One controllers nicely. ... show more

This one is a little too wide for my hands so a little awkward to hold and reach the home button... but I'm sure it works well for most people. Hands down the best controller I’ve ever used. It’s very comfortable in the hand as it’s not very big. The thumb sticks feel like DualShock 5 sticks, the controller has weight to it, so I don’t feel like it’ll break if I was to drop it, and all the buttons press nicely.
