  • Reasonably priced battery that works well
If looking at the cost, this is a great deal. Here are the cons: This is my fault for not benchmarking, but I am slightly disappointed regarding how well it holds a charge. Now granted the software of the androids seems to suck the batteries dry, my hope / expectation, was that this monster battery would last longer than 24 hours. As it is, 15-16 is the limit (and it is dying somewhere in that range). Suggestions: This is not the first time I have replaced a battery in a Galaxy, and as such I am reminded that it is prudent to explain a few things. First things first. Getting the back cover off is NOT easy. I have used a calibrated lab oven in the past, I used a heat gun this time around, both work. The goal is 120 degrees, but not much hotter than that (the electronics are pretty delicate). When prying the back off, take the tool, once you have something partially lifted, and drag it around the edges.. (all of them, even if the back sticks back on, at least break the seal with the tool) Some people suggest using a syringe with 99% iso, though ethyl will work just as well. make sure it is really close to pure, because it evaporates slower when it is not. run a bit of the iso around the edges you pried up, and when you pull the back off with the a suction cup, there will be some residual goop around the edges. The ISO will help get that off, and you need all of it off to ensure a proper seal upon re-assembly. There are roughly 11 little screws to take out 5 on the upper side of the battery which enables the removal of the wireless charging module, and 6 more around the speaker at the bottom. Get all of those off, and pull the wireless charger off. once you remove all of the connections with your plastic tool, the battery will be exposed. Some monster thought it was prudent to tape it in, as if it would rattle around once fully assembled, so it is important to drip some iso around the edges of the battery, let that sit for a minute while your heat gun heats up, and heat the front screen VERY carefully. once it is hot to the touch, use the plastic tool to gently pry the battery out. if everything goes well, the tape holding the battery will release from the battery staying in place now it is time to re-assemble. be gentle when pushing the connectors back in place. it is impossible to see them as you are doing it, but if pushed too hard, they will break, and that will be that. Final suggestion. Do yourself a favor and buy a new back panel. Whether you get the old one off in one piece or not, the new back panels come with tape already installed. (believe me when I say that once you see it you will wonder how the 2mm wide tape was installed in the first place. with a new back, you will never have to find out! So the above are some of the details I found while replacing these batteries. ... show more

  • Nice Battery & Kit with Higher Capacity than Original OEM
I have had to replace my S22 Ultra battery twice since I purchased it in September of 2022. The first time was due to the OEM battery swelling also causing my phone back to separate (had to replace that too). The second time was a different aftermarket battery of another brand. It actually started malfunctioning after a major update. So far, this one seems to be operating properly and boasts a higher capacity. I just installed it so only time will tell if that is accurate. It seems to be a good quality and functioning as it should. Removing the back of the phone is the trickiest part, but installing the new battery is pretty easy. It fit perfectly and it seems to have good battery life. I would strongly suggest charging and draining a few times to start with. It's a great value for the money and is much more reasonable that having to buy an OEM battery every year. The kit comes with everything you need to pry the back off, remove the battery, and replace it with the new one. The only issue you may run into is not with the battery, but the phone back. You may want to get one before replacing the battery as I had to change mine. Luckily, I had already thought ahead about that. ... show more
