  • Highly recommend. Good price, item works as described. A+
Material Type: Black
This is a very compact and portable magnifying device. The focus is quick and sharp for distance objects. It took a bit longer to get the hang of using it for closer birds. I used it both for sighting at long range and using as a telephoto lens on my iPhone. The iPhone set-up is not hard but takes some time. If I used it more often, I think it would be easier to use. I bought this monocular for a recent trip that involved some animal watching and site seeing on hikes. I ended up using this product more often than the binoculars, especially during hikes, as it easily fit into our backpack and even into my pocket when needed which made it great for the hikes. The clarity and zoom of the product was just as good, if not better than our binoculars and much easier to use. With both adjustment dials, I could clearly hone in on anything we wanted to see. I were complimented on this product multiple times throughout our trip as well as folks rarely see a mono and were surprised at the quality. I even used it for a few photos and the quality came out pretty good after a little bit of setup. Highly recommend. A+ ... show more

  • Super Hand-sized Monocular!
Material Type: Black
This is an excellent mini-monocular that is a very easy hand sized scope. Easy one hand operation with dial focus on top of the unit. Can easily fit in a pocket or hang on the wrist strap. Very handy for quick, close up birding. Eyepiece cover is great, front end cover comes off very easy from its catch, I may glue the catch in place to keep from losing it. I have not used the smartphone photo mount as it just has not been an interest when hiking, paddling or getting out in nature. The strong rubber smell of the unit is wearing off with more use. It is a great scope for the cost. ... show more

  • Great Monocular. Delivers on Promises. Can See Great Distances Clearly. This One is Real Deal.
Material Type: Black
This is my third monocular and by far the best. More popular then thought bc other two were "lifted". At 66 what's most impt to me is seeing distance w/ clarity. IT DOESNT DISAPPOINT! Many false claims re: magnification (say 25x when fine print says 10x). PhysioPhyx makes astounding 80x magnification and I gotta say they dont lie. Living in Palm Springs i can see great distances up the mountains close to me and across vast deserts, windfarms, and out my back door people watching on Highway 111 and even from lounger to small Settings print on Smart TV, lol, true. I was worried when saw how small it is but BIG PLUS fits in palm, can adjust with 1 hand, & lightweight as arms can tire easily now, Attaching my iphone was as breeze. Pics are great, The Directions in box on slim side but ton of info on Amazon that was helpful, Two annoying features 1) wish eyepiece cover was attached the way lens cap is. Just a matter of time b4 lose or misplace, 2) the case is too small to fit the monocular, tripod etc., NEED BIGGER CARRYING CASE. ON BIG ISSUES ITS A DEF WINNER: 1) ease of use 2) distance 3) clarity 4) lightweight 5) durability (dropped and banged and all good) OH AND THE PRICE WAS 60% off down from $90+ to $38 & change. GREAT DEAL FOR ANYONE ESP FIXED INCOME RETIREE. Look, i dont write too many reviews but am happy to do this one bc for a change: promises made & kept......esp love the distance/clarity!!!! At 66 I take it everywhere - eyes not what they used to be. It's become a very helpful necessity as well as a fun adventure item. So check it out, compare & if it fits your needs BUY IT. YOU'll love it too. Enjoy!............ ... show more

  • 80 x 100? Not Even Remotely Close!
Material Type: Green
The media could not be loaded. To be clear -- no pun intended -- I didn't expect Zeiss optics here, but this thing is pretty bad. You know the old saying "You get what you pay for?" That rings especially true with this supposed "High Quality" monocular. I suppose quality is in the eye of the beholder. As another reviewer mentioned, the ratings are grossly inaccurate. I measured the objective lens with a digital caliper (yeah, I know, even the most basic ruler would have more than sufficed but I'm me), and it is supposedly 100 (that's in millimeters, folks) but as you can see in my photo, it only measures slightly over 41mm. Then there's the ridiculously overstated zoom power of 80. Really? 80?!? Naw, this thing is more like 8x, and that's a stretch. Then there is the optics "quality." Basically, you get a decently clear image in the center, say 1/2 of the field of view. Outside of that, the remaining 1/2 is blurry. Strike 2. I tried to get the cell phone adapter to work with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but that was an exercise in futility. I could never get any of the 3 cameras to line up and get an image through the monocular lens. Strike 3, aaaaannnd it's going back. If you could get this for around $15, and it was intended for an 8-10 year old kid, it would be alright. Or for something to throw in the glovebox of your side-by-side. Otherwise, don't waste your money. ... show more

  • It's ok
Material Type: Green
Nice gift for anyone interested in nature, but I expected more. I guess thats why the price is what it is. It's not really night vision, and it has like one zoom. You're basically just changing the depth of field like regular binoculars. Also, using it with a phone isn't really beneficial unless your video recording, or taking pictures, but you have to line the viewpoint up with your correct smartphone camera lense. That probably took the longest to do for me until I realized there was a twist nozzle on the viewfinder to loosen it and adjust it. It's a good product, nice size, and weight overall. Definitely easy to carry. ... show more
