Having bought other cheap MP3 players over the past several years, I was really surprised by the quality of this unit. It feels well made and substantial - not a cheap little plastic thing. It's like a small smart phone (4.25 x 2.25) with a very responsive glass panel. The sound quality is excellent and it comes with a surprisingly nice set of comfortable ear phones. I used to use the SanDisk Sansas from 10 or 20 years ago. But now I have Spotify which is so much easier to use and make custom playlists. No need to use an external music player like Windows Media Player to make playlists. This device connected quickly and easily to my home Wi-fi. We removed all the apps except for Spotify and gifted this little music player to our 11 year old. She loves it. Before removing the apps the songs were glitching pretty heavily, but after freeing up space it seems to work much better. Good device for a kid to listen to music without the worries of a phone with internet etc. ... show more

I keep hoping that some company will come out with a player similar to the discontinued ipod at a reasonable price point. The Apple ipod is really the best for listening when you cant carry your phone with you. This one is just not good and was very problematic for me. Maybe Ill spring for a Sony, but the reviews show that there are some problems with other players even at the very high price point. I cant suggest this one as a replacement for anything. I'd prefer to carry my huge Android phone than to try to get this thing to work. Disappointed. ... show more

I got this to finally replace my iPod and listen to Spotify. The good thing is it comes with an SD card so you can download your songs right from Spotify and listen without WiFi or Bluetooth with the included headphones or aux cord. It's a lot heavier than I expected! Heavier and thicker than my phone. There are a lot of preinstalled apps that you can take off. To get pics, I went to my Facebook and downloaded from my album to change the background pic on the device. Takes patience! I've only been able to pair it with one speaker :( and it will only pair if it's right on top of it. It'll do for now ... show more

With the appropriate software download, I can freely move my music files from my MacIntosh desktop via a usb cable. The mp3 files play and I can connect with speakers and ear buds via bluetooth. Given these capabilities it is quite value. However, I have yet to figure out how to create new playlists. Either I can't, or there will be a learning curve to achieve the same level of convenience as for my ipod. ... show more
