If you let the weight of the machine and the quality of your wax do the heavy lifting, it will treat you well. I’ve found it isn't just for the driveway; it’s a steady companion in the workshop for slicking up a table saw top or an outfeed table so your material glides like silk. The kit provides two batteries, which is a thoughtful touch. A small car is well within its reach on a single charge. If you’re tackling a full-sized truck, you’ll need to keep that second battery cycling. A word of seasoned advice: the charger is a simple "wall wart" style that’s easy to mix up in a crowded drawer. Do yourself a favor and mark it with a silver permanent marker the moment you take it out of the box. The carrying case is sturdy enough to keep your workspace tidy, and the 6-inch pads are a standard size you can find at any local hardware store once the starter set wears out. Now, they’ve tossed in a thin apron that belongs in the bin—it’s a bit of marketing fluff that doesn't match the utility of the polisher itself. Don't let that distract you. This cordless polisher has just become my new favorite tool in the garage. I have been getting old motorcycles back on the road over the past couple years - almost always they have been sitting for a very long time. The body pieces often look the worst for wear, but this polisher does a nice job of cleaning up decades of neglect. First thing I checked were the batteries. They both came fully charged, which is nice - and I especially like the feature where you can push a button and see the state of charge. I immediately went to work on the saddlebags and trunk of this 40 year old Goldwing. Pictures four and five show the before and after, respectively. I'm very pleased with how easy the process was to get started. (for compound I used some Meguires #2). It is very easy to select which setting you want to work, I stuck with #3 for most of it and only used the foam disk. If I really want to get a mirror shine, I'll need different compound and then will use the bonnet and wool pad - included with the kit. Weight: the polisher weighs 48 ounces, or 1.4kg. I had no problem working it around the areas over the 15 minutes or so that I went between polishing, wiping down, checking and sometimes reapplying the polish. The last thing I really like is the storage case - this will be a great way to keep everything together and organized, something I constantly strive for in my shop. The only area of improvement I'd love to see is to include the details of which pad to use for which level of work you want to do - removing swirls, cutting, sanding, polishing, etc. It is in the listing here on Amazon, but I had to pull it up on my phone to confirm. A nice printout would be great to include. I give this five stars - Great tool to use and will provide a great return on the investment. Five stars
