    • Nice update for a more modern look
We got this to replace an older chandelier in our dining room that was original to the house (more than 50 years old). It worked okay, but just wasn't our style. This chandelier did exactly what we wanted - creating a much cleaner modern look, but working just as well at lighting the space. Installation took about an hour (including removing our old fixture) and I was able to do 90% of it by myself. The only time I really needed another person was when I was screwing it into the ceiling, which only took a minute or two. It came with about 12 feet of wiring, which was clearly excessive for our needs and all the extra would not have fit in the ceiling box, so I did require a wire stripper to cut off about 6 feet and strip an inch off the wire. Otherwise, all the necessary equipment is included and if you have space for the extra wire, all you need to install is a Phillips-head screwdriver. If you're particularly handy and/or have experience installing lighting fixtures, this could probably be done in less than 30 minutes - it's well packaged and was easy to read the instructions and set it up quickly. A few of the golden rods that simulate candles were not quite straight up-and-down. It took my son and I a couple of minutes of eyeballing it and making a series of adjustments although it was not too difficult. One final note: my wife and I debated on how high to hang it. We didn't want it to hang as low as our old chandelier, but placing the short extension rod and one of the longer rods seemed like it wasn't hanging low enough. I was able to unscrew the extension piece out of a longer rod and 2 rods end up being an ideal height for us. Online guides indicate that you typically want the bottom of the chandelier to be 30-36 inches above the dining room table and two long extension rods put ours exactly 36 inches above the dining room table surface. ... show more

Although I am still waiting on an electrician to come for installation (I would DIY but it’s a 30 foot ceiling height) I wanted to write a quick review. This light is beautiful, I love that it is an 8-light fixture vs many 6-lights, and I assembled (minus the install, obviously) without any issues. I anticipate it will work fine, but will obviously update if that is not the case. Love the modern look and updated vibe. Light looks nice and is fairly easy to assemble. They ship it collapsed and some of the arms are not attached. They are not hard to attach but you need to tighten a nut at the bottom. This nut is hard to get at. They give you a wrench, but I did not have much luck with that. You will need a 14MM "real" wrench to tighten them properly. Other than that, it assembled fine. The hanging tube is a bunch of 12" tubes, and you can pick the right amount that you need depending on your ceiling height. ... show more

We loved the overall modern structure and size of this chandelier! The light output is incredibly bright, which would be wonderful for an entryway chandelier, but in our dining room, it definitely requires a dimmer switch option. It was the perfect addition to our slow upgrades to our home, and is a beautiful size for a large family table that sits 6 people. The chandelier was easy to put together and the instructions were clear, for which we were grateful. Upon putting it together however, one of the attachments for the bottom pipe posts was completely stripped and would not fit together. We had to get additional plumbers tape and other equipment to install this bottom pipe, which was disappointing. My only other feedback is that it is challenging to get the light equally balanced just so due to the multiple moveable parts. Every time I look at the chandelier, it is slightly crooked in a different direction, which is frustrating. I understand the purpose of having different adjustable arms and components, but the high degrees of freedom for the overall structure makes it incredibly challenging to level just right. ... show more

This chandelier reminds me of a modern take on a medieval castle chandelier. The installation was not too bad. Most of it is assembled, you need to flare out the arms and tighten the bolts. It did take a couple of hours and I had to hold it up at times and assist my hubby with the install. The gold color is a nice light champagne gold. It’s not overly yellow, which I like. I used frosted 25 watt equivalent LED bulbs. Because it takes 8 bulbs, it is actually very bright. I definitely wouldn’t go brighter than 25w, unless you have a dimmer. The light dwarfs my table a bit, and I need to find a new centerpiece that coordinates with it better. The overall quality is good and I would get it again. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So seriously set aside a good day or two,to,get this thing put together properly. Literally have to unwrap, connect, and hang each and every crystal on this chandelier. I was aware some assembly would be required but I feel like some of things could easily have been done before shipping. It was cost of labor placed on the consumer That being said it is a lovely and grand chandelier. Shining and glimmering from every possible angle you can look from. It’s sturdy and mostly made from quality metals and glass crystals. Some of the adornments are made of plastic. You can’t notice though especially when hung and lit up.
