There’s no getting around it—you truly need to give this mattress the full week to fully expand. I’ve slept on it for several nights now, and aside from needing to fluff it like an oversized pillow every few weeks, it’s incredibly comfortable. I got this futon mattress to use in a spare room. It is not as thick as 10, but it has worked well so far. The corduroy cover feels soft, and the mattress has a nice mix of cushion and firmness. It’s not too hard, but it still gives enough support when sitting or lying down. A couple of other reviewers mentioned that it fluffs up more after a day or two, and I saw the same thing once it fully expanded. It’s thinner than 10', fairly lightweight for the size, which makes it easy to roll up or move around when I need the space. The straps help keep it in place on a frame or on the floor. I wouldn’t call it a long-term daily-sleep mattress, but for guests or relaxing, it’s comfortable and does the job. Overall, good quality for the price and very cozy for lounging or occasional sleeping.

It takes almost a week to regain full loft, so order well ahead of when it's needed. Construction appears sound. It does require daily fluffing up when used as a bed, or the filling will compress. Also, the thickness makes it a little difficult to fold into couch mode, but thats an acceptable trade-off. My guest had no complaints after a 4-night stay.

Decent but definitely not 10" thick. Even after a few weeks to decompress it's maybe 6-7" Max. If it was simple to return I would, but now that it's expanded it would be a pain to return. For that reason we will just keep it for now, won't trust this supplier again though.

It is not a mattress that one person can move onto a futon frame. I can lift heavy items but this mattress was beyond me. It is extremely heavy. We used a dolly to get it close enough to roll it onto the futon frame. It looks great and is quite comfortable.
