Description

Color:Cherry-finish The Nouvelle Chests are crafted from durable, stain resistant, laminated wood composites, that includes MDF. Available in 6 rich finishes: black, cherry, oak, walnut, white and pine. They are made in the USA and assembly is required. The spacious drawers measure 22.75” wide x 12.75” long x 5.50” deep.with plenty of room for clothing or blankets. Unlike most drawers that stop 6 inches short of really open, forcing you to bend over with a flashlight to see what’s inside. Our drawers are completely removable. You won’t have to guess what’s in the back or bang your head trying. Matching cup style handles made of durable metal like plastic seems to flow naturally from the drawer front panel.

There are a lot of negative reviews on this item which is why I am writing a good one. Many people complained of receiving damaged product and I was nervous about this. With inexpensive furniture, it only looks good in perfect condition. Happy to report, my dresser had no dings or damage when it arrived! This was the cheapest dresser I could find that wasn't ugly and I am very happy with my purchase! Yes, the drawer pulls are ugly and plastic, but that's an easy fix and doesn't bother me because they fulfill their purpose (you grab them and pull - astonishing). Update: two years later and still looks great, and even survived a move with very minimal dings. The drawers are a little too shallow for thicker clothing (I began hanging my husband’s pants in the closet instead because so few pairs could even fit), so keep that in mind. Acquired a need for additional drawer space recently so I was very happy to see there was a matching 6-drawer tall dresser available. Dresser arrived with a board which was completely cracked down the center of it. Looking through the instructions this board happened to be the main support for the entire dresser. No visible damage to the box so it seems as if it was shipped this way. Very disappointed. Update: Holy crap this thing might legitimately be the worst piece of furniture I have ever bought. The seller was kind enough to ship me a new part for the one that was cracked but it might have been better if he just took my return. This thing is so wobbly it might legitimately be dangerous if you have small children around. DO NOT BUY THIS DRESSER. Complete waste of money. On top of that another piece that was deeper in the box was also cracked but not to the point that it was completely unusable. Staying away from Venture furniture until the day I die. 2nd Update: The bottom of 3 drawers have not popped out. Just scheduled a bulk item pickup to send this thing straight to the dump where it belongs. ... show more

I've owned this less than six months and already it's breaking down from normal usage. Some of the predrilled holes are too large, so the cams don't stay put or secure as they should. The plastic drawer pulls are cheap and break very easily. One of the drawers completely came apart and I had to reinforce with additional L brackets. The bottoms do not fit snug in the drawer pieces, so they will either warp (causing the drawer to get stuck) or fall out entirely. While it looks nice, it won't stay that way long. I can't even close all the drawers because the pulls break off. I'm replacing it with a second-hand Ikea dresser. ... show more

This dresser is a complete piece of crap!!! The top is not securely mounted properly (it has pins in the middle, but relies on glue and dowels for the two ends and does not seat fully. The mdf is VERY THIN and easily broken. the center support is flimsy and broke off the first time I set it up. The drawers do not have any stop so they will fall out if a little kid pulls them open. There is absolutely nothing "metal like" about the plastic handles. they are a light brown extruded plastic handle that is VERY cheap and crappy looking. You will get 1000x better quality out of the walmart cheapo dressers than you ever will on this. Also, the "laminate" is just a printed plastic laminate, not wood. I could have got a REAL hardwood dresser for the price I paid!!! DO NOT BUY ... show more

This is really disappointing and dissatisfied situation, because it really looked awesome but the real scenario is once you actually get to see it physically with your two eyes, it comes the real deal because right out the box it made a mess all over my carpet because the pieces of woods were all cracked and falling all over and I couldn’t screw anything to it because the woods wasn’t supported do you the fact of being broken by missing pieces, wood needs to be stronger and firm in order to have this dresser amaze you. ... show more

This dresser was not all that hard to assemble. It took me about 1 1/2 hrs. Top piece of the middle support board was cracked upon arrival, however I had some wood glue and it has not effected the finished product. Not all the screw holes lined up and I was disappointed with the handles being plastic. The top board also did not want to fit all the way down on the wooden dowels so I had to add extra screws to keep it down. This dresser is for my 8 yr old daughters room - with that being said, I would not purchase this for an adult as the drawers are not that spacious and the bottom inserts are not heavy duty enough to withstand multiple adult size jeans. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money
I bought this dresser for my daughter. At first it seemed okay. Then the bottoms of a few of the drawers busted out. It’s a cheap made dresser and it doesn’t last. I can’t get them to stay in. As soon as I can I’m trashing it and will have to buy another one.
