Good part but requires a little extra work to make sure it settles properly

It fits perfectly in the garage door metal groove throughout the length of the door. The way it was packaged made it difficult to properly seal and evenly seat on the floor, I had to flatten it out by putting tape on several areas to keep it firmly sealed. After a week or so it was perfect.

16ft garage door. Removed the old one took about 5 mins. Used an air gun to blow out dust out of track. Install took about 15 mins. Good to have someone feed it while you push, then pull it a few inches at a time. I let mine sit in the sun for about an hour before install.

Fit perfectly. Great price and I appreciated the brush that was included to clean out the dirt and debris from the tracks. I was concerned about it being flattened from shipping, but I left it in the sun for a few hours and it puffed right up.

Takes a long time to soften

This product was fairly easy to install on a two car garage door. It did take 2 people though- one to feed in into the groove and another to pull along the door. There were a few times it would get stuck and would require a little back and forth, but was eventually able to get it all through. Downside is it is very very stiff and I worry about durability with sun exposure. It would not open/flatten when door was lowered so we were unable to lock the door. After a couple of months, it loosened a little and was able to lower more with a small circle opening, but still not all the way so there is still some gaps between floor/door and we are still not able to lock down. We are hoping the snow melt will not enter the garage now since it hasn't flexed enough to close properly. Not sure how long it will take for product to become flexible enough to allow the door to fully close, but this is important to know if you are going to buy.

This seal worked perfectly on my garage door. Took a bit of research finding the type of seal I needed. There’s plenty of how to videos on YouTube. It does arrive flattened out for shipping, I just unfolded it out and left it in direct sunlight on my driveway and the heat from the sun and concrete “puffed” it back up. Installation is not hard, but it is easier with two people. One's to help feed the new seal into the door rail, the second to pull it down the length of the door. I was quoted $340 to replace it. Took about 45 minutes. Saved a bunch of money!

If you struggle with install, or with it being flat, read this.

After struggling... I think I got it. I bought this correct weatherstripping, however, it was exceptionally difficult to install, until I realized that the original installer crimped the pbulb channel. I was able to open it up with some needle nose pliers and run all the way down the channel. After installing, the weatherstripping was still flat... A couple pieces of thick nylon rope fixed that. So overall the product is good (after ripping the first one), but it isn't great.
