I bought this when it was on sale for $130. A real bargain. It was hot outside and 15-20 degrees hotter inside my apartment as there is only one window and it only opens a few inches at the bottom. Then I got this. Suddenly ice cold air. It has a dehumidifier and a timer. It even has the front vent slats "swing" which means the vertical slats move so the effect is much like an oscillating fan. It comes with a remote and everything just works. I dont see it on sale right now but it is still a nice little unit. And there is no way one could mount an A/C unit i in the window except a like portable one like this anyway. I may buy a longer vent hose for $20. Otherwise I think I got a great bargain and have zero regrets buying this unit. ... show more

The AC seems to blow cold air just fine but the exhaust hose falls out from the air outlet adapter. There is no connection mechanisms to plug in the hose tightly. You simply insert it and that is it. The hose comes in and out without a mechanism to keep the hose from falling out. We used a silk tape to hold the hose in place, but the exhaust warmth melted the adhesive and the hose fell out again. Also, there are small holes on the hose too. Pictures are attached. At any rate, with the hose falling out immediately after being inserted, we have cool air coming from the front and hot from the back of AC. The unit we got is useless. Another issue is that window sliders are not designed for standard apartment windows. We wasted more time trying to fix sliders and keep the hose in place for a brief moment than getting the apartment cooled. Not sure if we got a defective unit or there is a design flaw. I was pretty nervous that the AC wouldn't work as planned. The price was very appealing but after some research I was convinced it wouldn't be enough. I was wrong. Although it may not be as fast at cooling my bedroom down as a standard window ac I was very impressed with how well it maintained cool temperature. I also have not had issues having to drain the ac. Instructions could be a bit more specific but it doesn't take a genius to put together either so you get what you pay for. Great purchase may buy a bigger version for the living room. Does not run on cold air consistently especially on the high setting. It doesn’t keep the room cool at all - it’s still 95 degrees in the room after turning it off. Don’t buy it unless you want to waste your money and have your room end up actually being hotter than outside.

I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. Shipping was fast and setup was a breeze. It cools my large bedroom just as well as my friend's $450 unit, and it's quiet enough that I can easily hear my TV. What amazed me most is the dehumidifier. I was worried about drainage, but after running it for a full day, there isn't a single drop in the drain. Works great. We have a 399 sq ft tiny home and it made a huge difference inside. The dehumidifier and AC both are very powerful. It might be a little noisy for some, but personally I like the sound. It’s ok for the price shipping time is great but it’s loud very simple controls looks good but you will definitely know when it’s on in the room. You get what you pay for I have had the cooling on 62 degrees for 4hrs straight my 20x20 room was still 87 degrees at night.
