This is my 3rd 70mai dash cam so far (I sold my first one with my car), and I’ve been waiting for the release of a new one. The 70mai definitely fits the bill. I’ve been using it for a few days now and honestly I’m pretty impressed for the price. Video quality is really good, especially the front 4K camera. Plates are easy to read during the day, and the night quality is decent too. The app took a little bit to figure out, but once set up it works fine. I also like how fast the Wi-Fi transfer is compared to older dash cams I’ve had before. Parking mode and emergency recording are nice extras, and overall it just feels like a solid, reliable dash cam without spending crazy money. Definitely recommend it if you want a good front/rear dash cam setup.

I'll start by saying im replacing a first gen Rove "4K" that seems to be losing its battery life, unit is failing to record lately and losing date/time memory. Did some research and 70mai came up in almost every list I found within the budget I was shooting for. I wanted true 4K and also front and rear cameras for a change. Box arrived in about 2 days and immediately I was impressed by the simplicity of the unit itself but the packaging was even impressive. Ive been using it for about a week now and its crystal clear, million times better than the unit im replacing. No hiccups, super easy to use which is what I was hoping for and only took about 30 min. to mount and even hide wires in my Silverado. Very happy ! I will mention one piece of criticism for the manufacturer.. I only received 4 sticky cable holders to help hide and support power cable/rear camera cable and I feel like that is far from enough, 10 or so and that would be perfect. All in all, I am absolutely very happy with the A810 Lite and would highly recommend!

70mai was my first dash cam brand ever, and now I'm on my second unit. My first one, from 2019, is still running perfectly in my original car — that alone tells you something about how these hold up. 💪 I trust the brand enough that I've gifted three of them to friends — not as a fun gadget, but because it genuinely matters. 🛡️ The story that made me a believer Last year my old 70mai completely cleared me of fault in an accident. The officer ruled me not at fault, the insurance agreed, and without that footage, it would have been a 50/50 call — or pinned on me. That's not a story I read online. That's something I lived. So my main advice comes first: get a dash cam. Any dash cam. That's the part that actually protects you. Everything after that is preference, and honestly, you won't feel a huge difference between models. I bought this A810 Lite for my second car. To be fair, I would have happily grabbed the cheapest budget option — But for a small extra cost, here you get genuinely impressive features, so it was an easy call. ✅ The things that actually stood out to me • Auto power-off when parked — nobody mentions this, but it's a quiet lifesaver. If your accessory outlets stay on and you're worried about draining the battery, you can enable them right in the menu. Love it. • Way better heat dissipation — the bigger body isn't just for looks. A dash cam bakes on your windshield all day, and with two cameras doing heavy data processing, good heat management is what keeps it stable and long-lived. Six years with the brand, zero issues. That's the point. • Seriously faster data transfer — dramatically quicker than my older model. Pulling clips to my phone over Wi-Fi used to be a slow, annoying wait. Now it's quick and painless. ⚡ • The app — clean, easy to navigate, makes previewing, downloading, and sharing footage genuinely convenient. 📱 Built-in GPS — logs speed, route, and location. Exactly the kind of data you want backing you up if you ever need the footage as evidence. 📍 • Big display + real buttons — finally proper, comfortable buttons. Bravo 70mai. Daily use is so much nicer. 📦 A couple of honest heads-ups • The included 64GB card is not a lot, but it's OK. It's recording 4K up front and rear, so it fills up fast (2 days of regular driving). • For parking mode, you'll need a hardwire kit — UP03 or UP05 if you've got a little more to spend and want the extra functions. Personally, I'm sticking with the standard connection for now. 🎥 About the video quality I attached a night clip, but I'll be straight with you — quality is NOT the thing you're buying this for. It's fine. Solid. This is a recorder for documenting what happens on the road, not a cinema camera — don't expect to shoot a wedding with it. 😄 For its actual job, it's great. Build the adhesive mount; all the materials — top-notch. 👎 The only real downside The car charger has just one USB port. That's it. That's my one complaint 🙂 Bottom line: everything else is excellent, and for the price, this is an incredible value. Really glad I picked this exact model. Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honestly, I had high expectations for this camera because I thought it would be an upgrade compared to my 70mai A800, but my experience was completely the opposite. The image quality leaves a lot to be desired. The videos are not as sharp or as clear as those from the A800. In several recordings, I noticed that the image looked blurry and had less definition, especially when the vehicle is in motion. In addition, the videos seem to have a less smooth playback, giving a sense of lag that makes it harder to see important details such as road signs, license plates, and distant objects. Another major issue was connectivity. I found it extremely difficult to connect both my phone and tablet to the camera. Constant connection errors appeared, and the app kept asking me to retry over and over again. After several attempts, reinstallations, and tests, the problem continued. One of the main reasons I bought this camera was because I believed it would automatically update the time when changing time zones using the GPS signal. As a long-haul driver, this was a feature I considered very important. However, after researching, I discovered that the time update only happens when the camera is powered off and then turned back on. At that moment, it reads the satellite information again and adjusts the time. I expected it to do this automatically while operating and crossing from one time zone to another. Because of this limitation, I will continue setting the time manually on my A800, which ends up being practically the same. In addition, the design of the A801 Lite turned out to be less practical for my use case. Due to its shape and mounting system, I was not able to install it on my truck windshield the same way I have my A800 installed. This limited placement options and made it harder to achieve the recording position I consider ideal for professional long-distance driving. Another negative aspect is that the lens of the A801 Lite is fixed and does not allow any adjustment of tilt or angle. Unlike the A800, where the lens can be adjusted to better fit the windshield angle, this model does not allow any modification of the lens direction, which makes it difficult to achieve the perfect viewing angle, especially in large vehicles like trucks. Finally, I decided to reinstall my old 70mai A800, which provides a clearer image, a more reliable experience, and fewer issues in daily use. For this reason, I will be returning the A801 Lite. Pros: • Compact design. • Easy physical installation. • Useful voice commands to take photos and record events without needing to touch the camera while driving. Cons: • Lower image quality compared to the A800. • Videos appear slow and blurry. • Less sharpness than expected. • Frequent connectivity issues with phones and tablets. • Unreliable app during setup. • Does not automatically update time when changing time zones while operating. • Design and mounting system are less versatile for certain installations, especially in trucks. • Fixed lens with no ability to adjust angle. I would not recommend it to those who already own an A800 or are looking for a dashcam with truly sharp image quality, stable connectivity, and a properly functional automatic time update system. In my case, the A800 remains a better option, and I will be returning the A801 Lite.
