  • Sturdy Marine Connectors Handle High Amps, Minor Install Quirks
Color: Plug&Receptacle
The media could not be loaded. Been using these heavy-duty electrical connectors on my boat for a few months now and they've held up pretty darn well! I needed something beefy to handle my power-hungry trolling motor and these 70-amp bad boys have been up to the task. The molded plastic construction feels really rugged - no signs of wear or corrosion from the saltwater so far. And the built-in strain relief on the plug is clutch for keeping my wiring secure. No accidental pull-outs on my watch! Waterproofing is on point too. The gasket on the plug and the cap for the receptacle keep everything nice n dry, even when I'm out in rough seas. Haven't had any issues with water sneaking in where it shouldn't. Installation was mostly straightforward, 'specially with the included ferrules for my 6-gauge wire and the handy hex wrench for the set screws. The instructions could use some work though - had to do some Googling to fill in the gaps. One thing to note - the mounting holes on the receptacle are a smidge small. The provided screws get the job done, but if you wanna use your own hardware you might need to break out the drill. Not a dealbreaker, but something to plan for. The waterproof cap is also a bit persnickety. It's a super snug fit, which is great for keeping water out but can be tricky to get on and off. Definitely a two-hand job, especially if your mitts are wet. But overall, I'm diggin' these connectors. They're tough, they keep the water out, and they can handle the high amps my trolling motor throws at 'em. Plus, it's nice to know they'll work with a bunch of different voltages if I wanna hook up some other gizmos down the line. So if you're in the market for some robust electrical connectors for your boat or other marine setups, these are worth a look. Just be ready for a bit of elbow grease on the install and some fiddlin' with that waterproof cap! ... show more

  • Great product
Color: Plug&Receptacle
Replaced my new boats plug and receptacle to accommodate my trolling motor that was drawing way more amps then the current boats plug was rated for. This is a great upgrade. Rock solid feel. No issues with replacement or installation.

  • Trolling motor plug

This plug set works great for 6 or 8 gauge wire. Very heavy duty and will take a high Amp load.

  • Well built 70 amp trolling motor plug and receptacle
Color: Plug&Receptacle
Well built 70 amp plug and socket for trolling motor! The only reason i'm knocking off one star is that the lock washer is Extremely dificult to get started if you can't see it (like when you're reaching under a boat deck to secure it blindly...) Spent literally 2 hours trying to get the lockwasher started without cross-threading and even took it back off the boat to practice getting it started where I could visually see if it was perpendicular. For the record I can blindly thread any nut anywhere on a car or boat in seconds ;) After practice I was finally able to get it one blindly without cross-threading (See other reviews with the same comments). Hopefully the manufacturer is reading these reviews and changes the thread to something courser and/or a thicker locknut? ... show more

  • I am pleased
Color: Plug&Receptacle
The plug seems to be good quality. Had it on the boat for about a month now. Only complain is the membrane is a little flimsy. Mine broke but that was mostly my fault. Overall pretty happy with my purchase.

  • Not as expected, screws are inferior, buyer be warned
Color: Plug&Receptacle
The plus is crimping within the plug is a good design, although the down side is the housing design is inferior. This plug housing is put together with inferior screws. These screws are very thin and inferior. Of the three that hold the housing together, two are already broken, the thread part is still in housing, but the ends are pictured here. Plug is still in use..the housing is to stay water tight over time so the screws need to be intact and sturdier, they should be stainless steel and stronger with heavier gauge. Poor overall design…Buyer be warned. ... show more
