This is a pretty nice PSU, for a fairly reasonable price. The fan is indeed quiet, though it’s automatically thermally throttled, and I haven’t really maxed out this PSU yet, so I’m not sure how loud it would really get. Unfortunately, most things you want to know about a PSU are things I can’t really test, such as long term reliability, or does it really supply 700W. However, this unit comes with a 5 year warranty, which should alleviate any concerns. The seller lists all of the other pertinent info (connectors, etc.) so I won’t repeat it here. I’ll say that for any common gaming PC, a 700W power supply is perfectly sufficient, with plenty of headroom so you’re not running it near it’s max capacity, and it leaves you wiggle room to upgrade or add some peripherals in the future. Unless you have some super power sucking (and expensive) GPU, then this is all the PSU you need. 5 stars. ... show more

Used this for a custom PC build (mainly from leftover parts from an upgraded PC, but needed a new power supply). Works as expected and was easy to install. Didn't see any third party ratings, and we didn't have a way to actually test power output, but it worked with the load we put on it. Build quality is reasonable given the price point, but definitely a noticeable difference as compared to higher ends PSUs. Some coil whine was noticeable under load. ... show more
