I must have a similar radio that this replaced. The initial screen looks the same. I do have to say that this one starts up quite quickly and goes from ‘start up’ to ‘working’ in just a few seconds. The touchscreen seems to work fine and is more responsive than my previous unit. I would have to agree that the screen looks better than my old unit too. Not that I'll be playing videos on it or anything but it's nice to know that it's there. One complaint is that the UI is actually a step backwards. Switching between radio and USB is not as easy or quick as I would want. The prior version had it all on one screen. This one you have to swipe between a few. I notice more static with this car radio than I had with the radio I just removed. I also find that stations fade in volume in a sort of cycle; regular volume for most of the time, then quieter for maybe 10-ish Seconds, then back to regular volume. Installation of the backup camera was not as simple as I would have liked. The power cord for connecting the backup camera was challenging to get connected to the reverse light. Getting power to the camera and back onto the red wire to activate the camera on the screen was troublesome. This particular connecter could use some engineering to make the installation simpler. Overall, I really don’t need anything fancy out of a car stereo so this works for my needs and then some. I haven't yet tried any of the remote features so I can't say how good the remotes are for the unit. I don’t blast my music so I have no issues with the volume that it delivers even without any other kind of amp. I do wish that the company would release some kind of UI Designer kit so that I could customize (and maybe share) some changes to the interface with others that use this.

The mount that it came with was supposed to be universal fit, but I ended up having to drill my own holes to get it to somewhat line up. I plan to just buy an install kit specific to my vehicle and then it should fit perfect. Instructions were definitely not great, someone with no experience doing car audio might struggle a bit trying to follow them. I've installed enough stereos in my time that I don't actually need the instructions, I just looked through them to see if they would be helpful for someone with no experience. The cable for the backup camera is a little bit on the short side. I put this on a 2004 silverado with the extended cab and 6.5 foot bed and it just barely reached. If your vehichle is any bigger it will probably be to short. All in all, once you get it installed it works great. The wireless carplay and android auto has been functioning perfectly, and it is awesome being able to see maps on the screen now!

The screen looks really good it is super clear the installation is not super easy but it's not hard with some time everyone can install it co es with everything you need the colors are vibrant and it is easy to use easy to manually maneuver through the settings and the apps it's great for the price love it. Works absolutely great cones with back up camera looks clear. The control is really cool to have a control so near the the screen in the car great.

I had already purchased a stereo for my sports car rebuild, but when I saw this one and the features it had, I had to make the upgrade. I like that it is the same double din form factor as the stereo I had already installed, so it fit right into the custom console I had built. This stereo has Apple and Android car play including navigation integration as well as blue tooth and hands free cell phone compatible. The display is bright and crisp with plenty functionality. I also like that is came with a steering wheel control pod since this car is older and doesn't have that feature. Unfortunately the manual and instructions is a bit thin and doesn't cover the control pod at all. So I was guessing on how to disassemble to install and managed to break it in the process. Now that I know how it is suppose to come apart I should be able to glue it back together if I decide to use it as is. Definitely a decent car stereo for rather short money.

My husband installed it in for me so I dont know personally if the install is easy but my husband said it was so I take his word for it. I use it for mainly the radio and bluetooth and both work great! It has a charging port for my phone built in which is definitely a bonus. I would recommend this product just make sure the dimensions on this will fit the dimensions in your car otherwise it wont fit.

Buyer beware - received my order today and the product was used or otherwise a returned product. Package wasn't sealed, it was loosely packed and the screen guard had been removed and poorly reattached.

Lots of good things but a few major issues. -not as loud as my old name brand stereo -no trim kit I tried fit, the volume knob is in the way and the included metal brackets do not fit properly to my dash. Used my old ones and got it to work but will have to make custom trim to have finished look -the ports in back for my subs are very weak, almost pushed in the first time I plugged in and I was gentle. Thankfully it’s working but questionable quality -For 2012 impala definitely need extra wire adapter to make your connections work, I had one already and just cut n rewired but something to keep in mind. They do mention this in description so nbd. The good -wireless connection to phone, Apple or android play. -very responsive touch screen -connects to phone quickly n reliably -decent price point -sounds pretty good once you adjust to your liking Overall if I had to, I’d probably save myself the trouble n go with a name brand. This one isn’t bad really at all but for a few more dollars you can probably get something better quality with maybe a few less features. But for now it looks good even without the trim to finish it completely. And I’m happy to have music with my subs again. Hope this helps
