  • Such a great story! Made my heart feel full.
Color: Original Version
I just finished the game and having such bittersweet feelings. Just so people are aware this is a visual novel. A choose your adventure story to read. There is 2-3 choices ever so often and base on those choices you get different endings. There is 5 guys to romance and a secret route. What I love about this game is the stunning artwork and colors. There are also short cutscenes of the scenery which I found very pretty as well. For me I felt the plot was interesting and had me interested in finding out all the answers to the mysteries in the game. I wish there was more romance but felt the pacing was spot on. This game is very plot heavy and there is format in which guy you can romance first. It’s recommanded you romance the 5 guys in order. At first I was annoyed at this because I wanted to read my favorite guy’s story first but after playing through it I see why it had to be this way. You learn more and more about the mysteries this way as you finish each guy’s route. If you are a fan of otome games I recommend this game 100%. I will be re-reading some of my favorite moments in the game. I hope if you are interstead to give this game a chance, it’s worth your money. :) ... show more

  • I Will Replay
Color: Original Version
I thoroughly like this one! The voice acting is great, the characters are colorful, and I love when there's a twist and the story has mystery or is a little dark compared to others that are always light-heartened (which I love those as well!). I only have two complaints on the top of my head: 1. I did not enjoy the secret story and I just felt it was a waste to even add it in. I can appreciate how it explains about a certain someone, but it was too short and rushed. However, it's not as if I have to replay it so I suppose I shouldn't fuss too much, but others may have been looking forward to this character and may be disappointed. 2. I also wish this had longer stories. They weren't too short and I know there is a time limit since they were only visiting the area, but I just feel as if it needed a bit more fluff to fill in the story. ... show more

  • Great Story with an Unexpected Twist
Color: Original Version
The second otome game in the Summer of Mystery series – 7’scarlet. We meet our heroine, who is on a search for her missing brother. It leads her to a mysterious town of Okunezato, where people don’t want certain secrets to get out. She runs into 6 different heroes that helps her on her quest to reveal the truth. The story was surprisingly interesting and very linear. It was super hard to stray from a chosen path. The decisions that you made before the festival will decide which route you were going to take. At the start, you were locked into 2 characters, whose stories just gave a basic overview of the plot. With each new playthrough, more of the plot was revealed. When you finally get the true endings, everything will be explained. Now, I kind of knew what the mystery was, but the true ending came out of nowhere for me. I was like “WHAT?!” Now this might be a spoiler, but just like in Psychedelica of the Butterfly, there will be death and you will be sad. Why can’t all the characters have happy endings? This is the first time I have ever said this about a game, but the artwork was okay. I love the art style. Very clean and simple. However, the characters were drawn awkwardly which threw me off. As an artist, I was thinking on how to improve the artwork. I didn’t find the heroes as visually appealing, even though they were supposed to be hotness personified. But I will say the stills were gorgeous. Considering otome games depend on their visuals, it was kind of disappointing. The translation was very good. Great proofreading. The Japanese voice acting was well done. The music was well matched but not memorable. In regards to extras, there weren’t any besides the gallery. There is a tips section that filled up as you progressed through the story. However, there were 2 tips that took me hours to find. All in all, it took about 20-30 hours to platinum the game. An engaging story. Simple to get all endings. Unforeseen twist. A nice variety of heroes. I would definitely recommend this game. The only reason I docked a star was for the artwork, lack of replayability and the unexpected sad ending. ... show more

  • The story has great potential but ultimately suffers from some balancing issues
Color: Original Version
The story has great potential but ultimately suffers from some balancing issues. Some characters' routes are much better than others. The romance between the female lead and some of the guys sometimes feel unnatural and forced. The secret route feels rushed and unsatisfying. Overall, I still enjoyed the game, but I honestly believe that the story and character building could use some improvement. It is definitely not as good as Collar X Malice or Code: Realize. ... show more

I loved this game. Starts off a little cheesy but turns into an awesome ride. Use of mixed media in the artwork was impressive
