    • This is an excellent laptop so far...
I bought this laptop as "used-acceptable" for quite the discount. I didn't know what to expect when it arrived. It actually came in a Dell Laptop box. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and it was absolutely pristine. Absolutely no sign of use. Whoever restored it went above and beyond the call of duty. I immediately upgraded to 32 gig of Crucial 3200 memory (2 sticks) and switched the hard drive out with a 1 terabyte Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD drive...I cloned the 512 gig NVMe M.2 drive, wiped it and placed it in the 2nd M.2 drive slot. I'd say this was the easiest laptop upgrade I've ever done. Kudos to Acer for making it easy. You just remove the screws from the back of the laptop, unsnap off the cover and everything is right there. I just disconnected the battery. I went with 2 sticks of memory rather than 1 stick of 32g memory to take advantage of dual channel. Now for the look of the laptop. It is beautiful. The keyboard is nice and red backlit. You can dim or brighten up the keys as you wish. The keys are responsive and have a great feel. The layout has taken a bit to get used to but I'm getting the hang of it. I hate touchpads so I disabled it and using a Bluetooth mouse...so I can't really comment on the touchpad. The display is excellent. I guess a nice display is in the eye of the beholder. I really liked the look of the display. I thought it was sharp and not washed out. The speakers are alright but that's what a nice pair of headphones are for. I happened to have a Win 11Pro disc so I ditched Win10Home that comes with the laptop. Clean install is always the way to go. Of course I had to go to the Acer site and download some drivers and software. You need the software to run some of the keyboard commands like the "Nitro" function. ... show more

I figured I’d go ahead and help others by writing this due to the fact after hours of research myself before this purchase I was unable to get clear details on a gaming laptop specific to the needs I was looking for so here we go. To keep it short, I needed a laptop powerful enough to stream in 2k, record at the same time as well in 2k (2160p 60fps) all while playing games that require high end specs in order to do so smoothly without lags or crashes. So the big thing for me was to still be within a budget that was reasonable and capable of doing this without having to purchase a pc that could cost a couple or few thousands of dollars. To say the least this is hands down the best purchase I’ve made on my end. To cut to the chase I can now stream, record and multitask and have multiple windows open with all my games on high or ultra/custom settings with no issues at all. I play PUBG with my settings at ultra, (2 on high settings) and still getting anywhere between 110 - 130 fps while streaming and recording simultaneously. I play new world on very high/high settings and getting anywhere between 60 - 80fps and of course higher fps depending on the area I am with less player base. So to say the least yes this laptop is 100% worth the money and in my eyes affordable for someone on a budget so it’s an absolute steal. The only “downside” and I put that in quotes because I have a laptop stand with cooling fans are the fans on the laptop itself so get hot but cools off when I turn on my cooler fans. Other than that this laptop is my main power source for my 4k 27inch curved monitor, 4k streaming camera, ring lights, and all other accessories so to say the least, yes, I am really pushing this laptop as much as possible however after a month use it is working phenomenal and I don’t see myself upgrading for another three or four years. Dead on arrival, simply hell to ship the faulty one back, besides the time and hassle, whole thing turned into my problem cause Amazon wont handle pick up of their faulty computer and lical regulation wont alliw for computer to be sent back with battery. Discovered many people received dead on arrival had the same terrible experience. Computer not working, shipping back A problem becoming my problem as its not possible to ship with battery under local regulation, and Amazon wants computer back WITH battery. Some nice reps but eventually unhelpful never ending chats with customer care and now stuck and cant return cimputer and amazin wanting to double charge. (Review written by the user, not the buyer.) I got this gaming laptop as part of my first setup for my Christmas/birthday present. I absolutely love it! It has been a little less than three weeks since I first used it and it is working great. In general, I would recommend if you are just starting out your online gaming experience. Specifics: The keyboard is really good (which I am using at this moment). The track pad is eh, it kinda skids my thumb but I can give it a pass. The screen is really nice, with great detail. Battery life is not great, but if you are just using it for searching online it is okay. If you want to play a full on game you may want to plug it in. Game performance is amazing (transferring from a Nintendo Switch, playing Fortnite, to a real gaming device is a vast improvement in my opinion.) Running max graphics gives me 80 FPS and I can play good graphics on a stable 120 FPS. Games load fast, and overall very smooth experience. (I really don't know if this is just me, but trying the laptop on the first time the FPS would be very random but after a while playing, maybe after a few days, it got stable.)
