I bought this laptop as "used-acceptable" for quite the discount. I didn't know what to expect when it arrived. It actually came in a Dell Laptop box. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and it was absolutely pristine. Absolutely no sign of use. Whoever restored it went above and beyond the call of duty. I immediately upgraded to 32 gig of Crucial 3200 memory (2 sticks) and switched the hard drive out with a 1 terabyte Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD drive...I cloned the 512 gig NVMe M.2 drive, wiped it and placed it in the 2nd M.2 drive slot. I'd say this was the easiest laptop upgrade I've ever done. Kudos to Acer for making it easy. You just remove the screws from the back of the laptop, unsnap off the cover and everything is right there. I just disconnected the battery. I went with 2 sticks of memory rather than 1 stick of 32g memory to take advantage of dual channel. Now for the look of the laptop. It is beautiful. The keyboard is nice and red backlit. You can dim or brighten up the keys as you wish. The keys are responsive and have a great feel. The layout has taken a bit to get used to but I'm getting the hang of it. I hate touchpads so I disabled it and using a Bluetooth mouse...so I can't really comment on the touchpad. The display is excellent. I guess a nice display is in the eye of the beholder. I really liked the look of the display. I thought it was sharp and not washed out. The speakers are alright but that's what a nice pair of headphones are for. I happened to have a Win 11Pro disc so I ditched Win10Home that comes with the laptop. Clean install is always the way to go. Of course I had to go to the Acer site and download some drivers and software. You need the software to run some of the keyboard commands like the "Nitro" function. ... show more

Review will be updated as I dive further into tests. Specifically the AN515-46-R0EQ. I just fired this product up today and needed to leave my first impressions. It is a 2023 model that includes ddr5 ram. But it’s different than the ones many are reviewing. Boot: was not DOA. For people claiming DOA, make sure your power cord is fully plugged in. There is an audible as well as tensile click. BIOS: coming to this from an MSI build, it’s archaic. Only a few options. But less is more and it’s clean. Upgrades: when I bought this laptop, I also bought an additional 4tb m.2 2280 and a 5tb hdd because the store page said it had space for them. When I opened up the case, I found that the AN515-46-R0EQ not only didn’t come with the cable to connect it, but is physically missing the header to attach it. After checking the Acer website and looking up the model, I see this model CANNOT connect a 2.5 drive. So I wasted money because of a bad presentation. MAKE SURE TO CHECK WHAT YOU'RE BUYING! Windows install and syncing: Everything synced, installed, and updated very quickly. So far so good. Now I just need to install Steam and she how it handles. Will update this within the next couple days Update 2 weeks later for gaming: Well I’m happy with this for sure. Final Fantasy VII Remake on max settings (which has a notoriously rough side for graphics plays flawlessly, and Elden Ring on max only has some stutters in Liurnia when it’s raining. I’m running through Farum Azula now (giant tornado) and have had no issues. 58fps when capped at 60 anyway at 1440p. Looks beautiful. This laptop is fantastic when it comes to price to performance. However, the battery life on this is very bad. I could only get around 1.5 hours out of it just streaming youtube. If your gonna travel with this, you're gonna need the charger and a close outlet. Also, the cpu gets very hot under some semi-heavy load like vr and playing at max settings, which could shorten the lifespan of this system. But you can always adjust the fans with the NitroSense software that it comes with. Other than that, it meets all my current needs. Great vr and 1440p performance despite only 8gbs of vram. I'll be back to write more about this when I need to. ... show more

You have windows11? Thats why turn off windows updates keep them off. Then delete amd drivers, reinstall, restart. Works fine now. Had it 3 times before i found out it was windows 11 updating my driver to the basic on the pc launched with(out of date by like 2 years). Ps take better care of your products people. ... show more

Quiero pensar que alguien regresó este producto y eso fue lo que me enviaron, la computadora llego con manuales, garantía y todo lo demás. Pero me molesto un poco que la caja llegara con el sello violentado, la conecte y parecía que la compu no servía, resulta que tienes que aplicar un poco más de fuerza al conectar el cable de la compu, fuera de eso, todo bien. Tengo este portátil desde abril del año 2022 y hasta el momento no tengo inconvenientes, le instale 2 discos extra ( 1 TB NVME y 1 TB HDD), la batería en principio tiene una duración prolongada, específicamente para trabajar en Word, Excel y navegar en la web, pero últimamente me dura menos, quizás se debe a la cantidad de aplicaciones ejecutándose en segundo plano, el modo alto rendimiento para juegos funciona muy bien aunque calienta bastante, lo que es normal en un portátil, en general me siento satisfecho con mi primer portátil gamer. ... show more
