  • This is the perfect little greenhouse for an urban backyard! Get the taller version!!!
Style: 6*6.2*7.2 FT Material Type: Black
I was prepared to be underwhelmed based on reviews of similar products, but I was proven wrong. This 6x6 greenhouse is perfect for my city backyard. I "splurged" and got the taller version and am so happy I did. PLEASE get the taller 7.2 ft version. By placing it on a pressure treated foundation the peak it at a standard interior height which makes working inside so much easier. Also, the side walls are 64 inches tall, so you can place 60 inch shelving unit under them. No one else has left this in their reviews and I thought this was important for planning. For the record, I am a 5'4" woman. I put this greenhouse together by myself over the course of 2 evenings. On the 3rd evening, my husband helped me put in the polycarbonate panels for the roof. This can be done easily as a single person project with time and patience. It was not difficult, you just have to twist your head sideways and squint while looking at the directions sometimes. Based on other's suggestions, I put A LITTLE silicone in the channels before putting the panels in. This helped make the siliconing a little more robust. Do not put in too much or you will have a lot of clean up and waste. Also, a difficult time lining up the roof panels (not fun). I do have a little bit of condensation in the door panels but I think that it because it rained before the silicone set up. Oh well. But nothing new is getting in. What we did extra: 1. Metal roof ridge cap: we live in NM and get monsoons with driving rain. 2. Pressure treated foundation fixed to a previous concrete shed foundation 3. Solar exhaust fans 4. RV tape to the side wall seams 5. Screen door handle 6. Lots and LOTS of silicone (we have has 2 storms and no leaks!) For the price point, the little tweaks we made were well worth the money to make this greenhouse workable for me. ... show more

  • Great greenhouse with high ceiling/door frame
Style: 6*8.2*7.2 FT Material Type: Black
The selling point of this greenhouse for me was the height. The door frame and ceiling height is significantly higher than other similar greenhouses I looked at. I'm 5'6" and feel comfortable with plenty of room above my head as I enter the door and move around the greenhouse. I did most of the assembly in one day, but finished up the roof and support bars on the second day. The instructions were easy enough to follow. Inserting the plastic wall panels was much easier with two people. I used cinder blocks and the provided string to attach to the outside corner D rings. My green house is on a cement slab, so we attached brackets to the ground level interior bolts to then also have cinder blocks on the inside for added weight to hold it down. We've had some pretty decent wind since we put it up and it is holding up great. I don't have a thermometer yet, but when I enter the green house it is noticeably warmer than it is outside (I live in the Pacific Northwest). I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to growing all sorts of veggies. I planted some seeds last week and already have sprouts! ... show more

  • Difficult to assemble
Style: 6*8.2*7.2 FT Material Type: Black
Very time consuming to assemble. Cheap parts. Not sturdy. Very disappointed.

  • Nice greenhouse for the price.
Style: 6*10.2*7.2 FT Material Type: Black
We have only had the greenhouse for a few weeks, but so far so good. Everything arrived in great shape in two boxes. One with all the metal components and one with the polycarbonate panels. The instructions consist of all pictures, no text, so relatively straight forward to follow. There are a few places where I wish more detail was shown to determine how to position things correctly. I purchased this particular greenhouse over many similar ones for two main reasons. It is taller than most others with the same 6’x10’ width and depth dimensions. I liked the way the polycarbonate panels slide into the framework over those using flimsy clips to hold the panels into place. But it should be noted that getting the panels into place is probably the most difficult part of the installation, especially the roof panels. The model we purchased was just over $300 so we expected it to be lightweight and perhaps not super sturdy. We used some old lumber we had left over from a pole barn build to make an internal framework as we constructed the greenhouse. See attached pictures. We then screwed the greenhouse frame to this internal frame for much greater stability. We ended up using 4x4s and a few 2x6s for the internal frame because that’s what we had laying around. This is, of course, over-engineered, but I would recommend using at least 2x4s to create some additional, similar, internal support. We added a door handle and will add non-electric, window lifters. Overall, the installation went well. We did not have to redo anything. Our kit came with some small ground nails; four tie-down spots; and some paracord to fasten to the ground. We did not use the ground nails since we attached to the internal frame we constructed. Before installing the greenhouse, we had some limestone blocks we put down for the floor. We ran the paracord under the blocks and attached to the four tie-downs, so this greenhouse is not going anywhere short or a tornado hit. The only thing I wish was different is that the two windows, when opened, can be moved sideways in a fair breeze. We have not had rain yet, but I expect we will need to make some type of adjustment for the water guttering system and probably some silicon sealant on any panels that leak around edges. ... show more
