Very cute and soft. because after it was walked on a little bit, as it's in a bedroom the shag started to get tangled and clumped up so now it has matted clumps in places so definitely look up care tips of ways to help with that when it happens. All in all great price and it's so soft.

I love these shag rugs and have several from a few different manufacturers. As far as how this one compares: -It is a little thinner than the others I have with a shag length that is somewhere in the middle. It is thin enough that I am going to need to order an underlayment/pad to go under it because it is not as soft as I would like on my ceramic bathroom tiles. -Like all others I have, it comes folded and vacuum sealed, so you are going to need to lay it out and use your finger tips to fluff the shag. It will leave a weird residue on your hands that feels to me like chicken fat, but this is common to all of these rugs. I think it may have to do with maintaining a nice thick shag, because I have noticed with others that as they age and get vacuumed enough times and that coating gets removed, the shag fibers start to get all separated and look less attractive, so it seems to be the nature of the beast with these. Vacuum without the rotating brush on to increase longevity. -Like all others I have, it has a rather strong chemical smell when first opened (like a memory foam mattress) that doesn't bother me too much but may be off-putting to some, so you may want to plan on airing it out for a day or two first, as the smell will fade. This smell probably comes from the fact that this rug and others like it have more of a rubbery bathroom mat base instead of the woven base that would be typical of a more proper area rug. -Once you have it fluffed and flattened, the light gray tie dye looks great, and other than having a slightly thinner base than I would like, is super comfortable. I am very happy with this rug for my large bathroom, and recommend it as long as you are ok with the above issues that are common to this type of rug in general. I am well aware of these issues and love this type of rug, but they do tend to show wear sooner than standard area rugs, so you may find yourself replacing it far sooner than a non-shag proper area rug, but a decent proper area rug is going to cost you a lot more, so this rug is priced accordingly to me. ... show more

I have a few of these already and these are nice to have so i learned a bit whilst owning them they are thin. they are better to take outside and shake out/air out in the sun then vacuuming if you have a strong one like i do. so keep that in mind. these are nice and so soft. my dogs and i adore them. if you have a dog that rolls around after eating or waking up etc keep them away from the bottom of these types of rugs they will rip. i learned this the hard way otherwise they will last and look great better in person. i will still buy these as they work for me and just wonderful. size is generous and bigger in person..truly. ... show more
