What can I say. These rods are awesome! I had some Amazon gift cards from work and thought I’d grab one for myself and one for my buddy’s birthday. I picked up the 7’ medium-lite / fast action spinning versions of their 6x rod. Between me, my buddy, and my son, we caught 27 bass this last weekend. I really believe Trika is what made this possible. I’ve been fishing Walmart Ugly Stiks for years now and have always had trouble hooking into the Bass. If the bite was big enough for me to feel, the hook wouldn’t set. If I did get hooked into one, and the fight was on, It would jump out of the water and the hook would come loose. This past weekend was a completely different experience. I could feel the smallest of hits from the Bass, some whose size was much larger than their bite. I like the rod so much that I figured I might as well put a descent reel on it. I headed up to Bass Pro and picked up a Shimano Stradic 2500, brought it back home and wanted to get it strung up asap. I lazily put my line on the real from bed and boom, the pole hit the ceiling fan. It took the tip right off the pole. I’m happy to say that I contacted Trika today and another pole is already on its way. The service was great and they even made me feel better about my stupid mistake. Now I just need to convince my wife that spending $1,100 on fishing stuff in a single month is okay so I can pick one up for my son too! Thank you Trika for the awesome rods and great service!

Trika has all the hallmarks of a brand that is manufacturing and selling the highest tier product you can get in its category: cutting edge technology backed by statistics, a direct to consumer model, and zero discounts. They are focused on building the best, lightest, and farthest casting rod you can buy and after multiple outings testing it - they have absolutely done it. I recommend this rod to everyone. I hope to see Trika receive the national recognition and prevalence it deserves. Keep it up guys. Absolutely love my Medium 7’ spinning rod. I use it on my kayak in Tampa and am in awe of its light weight, sensitivity, casting performance, and looks. As far as durability goes, I have had zero issues with it. Fishing out of a kayak, I definitely tend to beat up my gear. The Fuji guides have not bent and are smooth. I was worried the carbon fiber handle would cause my hands to slide around while casting/ twitching. I’ve had no issues at all while covered in sweat, blood, and fish slime. I also thought the harder material would cause discomfort. Absolutely not the case! The Trika is definitely comfortable as I have fished it hard for more than 3 hours at a time. There’s a perfect gap for your thumb to fit on the side of the rod. But one and give it a shot.. you’ll be replacing all your rods soon enough.

This is going away, the lightest seven foot pluss spinning rod I have used. Quality of the rod is excellent and is balanced very well. I use it during "inshore fishing" for reds and speckled trout mostly. I would get it again for sure.

If you are looking at this lightweight rod, you already know how good it is and you are looking for the review that confirms the purchase, let this be the one. Yes, it is a little pricey. BUT, If you want to have a good chance catching and not just fishing, you want the best. This casting rod paired with a Shimano Curado is incredible. Buy the thing and NEVER look back! The feel and sensitivity of this rod is hard to beat. You can feel everything. It's very light. And as soon as the fish start touching your bait or lure. You can feel it. I love this rod. I will be buying a spinning rod next. Can't wait to try it.

As far as the likes, very light, casts great. Dislikes- caught first fish with the rod 1.5 lb bass , little guy, got bit again set hook, heard loud noise and pain in left forearm, rod broke right in half and hit my arm when it snapped. This was first Tirka rod, had high hopes, possibly just had a dud, will return only had less than two weeks, will update once replacement comes. For 300$ you don’t expect to have to go through this. UPDATE 12-9-24 Got replacement rod I do like it, light and sensitive. That said I also bought a comparable Expride, which is more sensitive, probably same weight ( both very light) and now because of the 50$ price hike on the Trika rods, the Expride seems to be a better value. I do like that Trika are a USA PRODUCT!!! Adjusted from 1 star to 3.
