Description

The SU-100 was a Soviet SPG commissioned in 1944. The genesis of this model involved the need to strengthen self-propelled artillery at the end of the war. The newly constructed D10 - 100 mm cannon was mounted on the slightly modified hull of the popular SU-85. In the period 1944-46, about 4,500 units of this vehicle were produced. The SPG was very popular, serving in dozens of armies around the world. Several countries still keep the SU-100 on standby. The SU-100 SPG model is entirely designed with COBI building blocks. The inclusion of many awesome pad prints has enabled the vehicle to be faithfully reproduced. The set does not contain stickers at all, only prints! And the prints do not scratch or smear even during heavy use. The model is equipped with efficient crawler traction, a movable gun and openable hatch. Under the service flap there is a detailed motor. The set includes blocks with Soviet and Polish markings to choose from, another innovative and fun feature COBI brings to the set. The set is complemented by a figure of a soldier with a Mauser rifle, a cap and a red banner. The easy-to-read manual contains a list of blocks and statistics that you can use in the free COBI Historical Battle Game. This COBI kit is ideal for the construction of dioramas reproducing the Eastern Front. The SU-100 is the perfect gift idea for anyone of any age and a great start to your COBI construction set adventure.

Great purchase

  • Awesome set
I love this set, it was fun to build minus putting the tracks together, besides that, it's awesome for display and to play with and the T-34-85 is the favorite tank and when I bought it, I was excited and when I got it and built it, it was awesome. One thing is, one the clips which were holding the hammer ended up breaking and there were no replacements, so I had to use pieces from a different set, the piece holding the turret in place is also broken and I don't have any replacement for it so I can't use it for play because of that because it might break. Besides those cons, the set is Awesome! I love, I would recommend it to any Soviet tank fan. ... show more

  • A Great Kit
I was wary of getting a non-Lego kit, but I wanted tank Legos, and the T-34 is my favorite tank, so I gave this a chance. Glad I did. Instructions very clear; better than Lego's since these gray out the existing components on each step. The kit comes in two big bags, which is unwieldy but not bad. The tolerances on the pieces are VERY tight. They are sometimes hard to get together but once they are in there they are in. There are a FEW components (like the little flaps on the front and the back of the tread guards) that can be a little fragile, but for the most part this model is a brick. You could throw it at the wall and most of it would stay together. Oh, and you have to put the treads together piece by piece. Sticking 104 tiny pieces together was a bit much. But once assembled they roll great. And the final model is beautiful. I will definitely be getting more COBI tank kits. ... show more

  • Superb & Excellent!
Cobi is not about being compared as good as Lego, or some like lowering yourself to go with Cobi. Who’s Lego? It is comparing apples to apples at this point. Cobi is to me the King of brick building. It is more about what you want to build than saying one is better than the other. Cobi is top notch in every way. I’ve got sixteen sets of Cobi, so far, with not all built yet & more coming. Not taking away from Lego, Cobi is a stand alone on there own merit. They are incredible & I’m a Cobi fan for evermore! The T-34/85 specifically is a immensely satisfying build. This tank for size & pieces involved is hefty & impressive sitting there along side the other tanks already in the stable. Cobi makes things that once built, make for great display. As far as I’m concerned, going after historic war vehicles as tanks, planes & ships, I’ve found my fix for my mid-life crisis! Get them while you can, once they run out they’re insanely expensive to get after market! Note, after building four tanks, four aircraft & the big Titanic set (1916), not one had missing pieces or other problems. Do make sure you do not throw away the part bags until you got it all done. I thought I was missing a piece off a Tiger Tank, re-examining the bags, found it! Anyway, happy bricking! Next up, the Wahoo! ... show more

  • Well Made Iconic Tank
I think this is a wonderful model that captures the source material well. Cobi had made multiple T-34 models, and this is one of the best, albeit not as good as their other rendition in my opinion, but that set is not available anywhere I’ve looked, so this is the next best option. If you like models tanks, this iconic piece is a must have. ... show more

  • Nice, but missing parts.
I really like the COBI kits, but I am so tired of missing pieces. Every other kit I purchase I have to scrounge bits from my scrap box. I like the model, but quality control leaves much to be desired.
