I bought this as a rod for my girlfriend and I was impressed with how far it casts. It comes with 6lb line I swapped it for 8lb clear mono. The orange hi viz line scared the fish away. I gorilla glued the rod to become a 1 piece because it came apart easily after some use. Now I leave it in the back of my car for unexpected fishing. I've left it out in the rain, it's hit rocks, it still bombs casts and catches fish. It's super sensitive definitely for smaller fish, a 6+lb bass will probably snap it. Great rod and reel for the price. Only thing I’m not a fan of is the cork finger grips on the crank. They feel great but I’m curious on how they will hold up.

I love this pole. It’s awesome colors and overall dependability. This thing has caught me 4 trout of various size and hasn’t failed me yet. It is a smooth reeling reel also. The only flaw is the description. It says it has 8lb line on it already but the reel itself when shipped out says 6lb line. No big deal I would definitely buy again ... show more

Used it one time and it broke in half and yanking a little to get the line unstuck. The pole was used by a 10 year old btw.
