I don't do all those curly pieces and designs in my edges or "baby hairs" so I can't speak to that but I do like to brush my hairline and try to keep it somewhat frizz-less and neat. This edge control kit did exactly that and then some. I brushed some into my hairline with the provided bristle brush and used the headband for an hour while I got ready. My hair was smooth and stayed flat all day. The fish fry started around 2pm in 90+ degree weather in the south, it was so humid. But we stayed out there and ate, drank, and danced all night and my hairline was still laid. I have true to the game 4c unprocessed hair so you know in normal circumstances it would've been super frizzy and puffed up. It didn't survive me sleeping rough but that's to be expected.

The kit of combs is a great value the edge control is too oily my edges do not stay laid especially in the heat. It’ll leave an oily residue. The smell is light. A good amount is in the jar but overall it could hold better

The hair taming mascara applicator is genius. It works every single time. Smooths my hair, evenly spreads it out, and keeps it in place without it being hard or sticky. I love it! I don’t know what it is, but it’s the best. It also has no smell. I do have to reapply sometimes through the day, but that’s just when I’ve laid down on my hair or something like that.

I got this to help tame the frizzy flyaways in my hair. This set comes with several hair tools. brushes, teasing combs, wax and a small wax wand. I only use a tiny bit since I have very fine thin hair, but it does take care of the flyaways. The brush works great for adding some volume to my hair.

It actually works great on my 4C edges . It doesn't flake, hold for 24 hours, the finishing brush on color is a bonus for thinning edges, and the assortment of tools are great.
