I recently installed these 6.5" speakers in my Buick Lucerne to replace the aging factory system, and the difference is night and day. I do a fair amount of my own vehicle maintenance, and I really appreciated how straightforward this setup was. As described, the installation took about 30 minutes. The solder-free terminals and clear polarity markings made it a plug-and-play job, with no complicated wiring required. The sound quality is fantastic for the price point. Running them straight off the factory head unit without an additional amp, the 250W RMS delivers incredibly clear highs from the tweeters and punchy, distortion-free bass from the woofers. The rubber surrounds and steel mesh grilles feel very durable, which gives me confidence they will hold up well. I finally got around to swapping out the factory paper speakers in my sedan with these CLES ZYZ 6.5-inch coaxials. Right out of the box, you can tell they are built a lot tougher than the stock ones. The "spider" style grille over the front looks pretty aggressive, though I ended up hiding them behind my door panels anyway. For the price, the build quality feels solid and they didn't feel cheap or flimsy when I was screwing them into the door frame. When it comes to the sound, these definitely need a bit of power to wake up. They claim 1000W max, but honestly, that’s just a big number for the box. The **250W RMS** is what you want to pay attention to. Running them straight off my factory head unit, they sounded clear but a little thin. Once I hooked them up to a small 4-channel amp, they really started to shine. The mids are punchy and the highs from the built-in tweeter aren't too "shrieky," which is a problem I’ve had with cheap speakers before. As far as value for money goes, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here. These are a great middle-of-the-road choice. They aren't going to win any professional sound competitions, but they are a massive upgrade over original equipment. They are standard 4-ohm's so they are cross-compatible with almost any car stereo or aftermarket amp you’ve got lying around. I didn't have to do any crazy custom wiring; it was pretty much a straight plug-and-play deal after I got the door panels off. The optimal use case for these is definitely a budget-friendly DIY garage project. If you have an older car with blown-out speakers and you want something that can handle a bit of volume without breaking the bank, these are perfect. Just make sure your car uses the standard 6.5-inch mounting size, as some older trucks use 6x9s instead.
