Great water capacity, quiet and auto shut-off when full

This has worked out well in the house. The dehumidifier has modern controls and technology. It won't eat up electricity, and it will help take moisture and humidity out of the air. This is especially helpful in the summer months. This can work in a plethora of spaces. It's made with quality parts and durable enough to take the rigors of the day. The dehumidifier has a large tank for water collection. No need to empty it so frequently. The dehumidifier has a water line, so it is quick and easy to tell when it needs emptied. There is also the option to use the included hose to work with drains. The unit isn't too loud when in use. The unit is a bit heavy, but there are wheels to help with carting it around. It has a durable exterior. The dehumidifier can also be power cycled. It can operate for 8 hours, then it will shut down and restart in an 8 hour cycle. It also has a memory function, so when it is powered down, it will remember the last settings. There is also a warranty included. I think this dehumidifier works great, and I like the power saving feature. It is somewhat large and heavy, but it can fit in small rooms or closets easily. I noticed the effect it had on moisture after a few days. It is a bit pricey, but it is high tech and high capacity. Highly recommended.

I see on the side of the dehumidifier that it is Energy Star rated. Besides the dehumidifier, I got the user manual, drain hose and a power cord storage bracket which I found inside the bucket. The air outlet is on top, and the control panel is also on top. There’s a large handle on the back, opposite the control panel, so I can push it where I want since it’s on wheels. The bucket where the humidity collects is removable and has a small vertical window so I can see the water level. The filter is washable and reusable. There’s a continuous drain hose outlet with a hose included, but I don’t use it since I don’t have a floor drain. The power cord is grounded and the bracket keeps it organized. The dehumidifier automatically shuts off when the bucket is full or when the set humidity is reached. There’s a three-minute compressor delay to protect the unit after stopping according to what I read on the manual. When the bucket is full, a red indicator light comes on and the control panel displays “F L.” If the bucket isn’t in the right position, I see the red light also comes on. If the dehumidifier loses power, it restarts with my previous settings when the power returns, except for the child lock and timer. After unplugging and plugging it back in, it resumes the previous mode. The control panel has a power button to turn it on and off. The wind speed button cycles through low, medium, and high speeds, and also works as a child lock if I hold it for three seconds. The timer button sets an auto-off timer from 1 to 24 hours. I can adjust the timer duration with the plus and minus buttons. When the timer is on, I can cancel it by pressing the timer button. If the unit is turned off before the timer ends, the timer is also canceled. Changing the working mode during timing keeps the original timer setting. The plus and minus buttons adjust the humidity from 35% to 80% in 5% steps. In custom mode, if I set it to 60%, the compressor stops when humidity drops below 57% and restarts when it goes above 65%, with the fan speed returning to the original setting. The mode switch button lets me choose between Comfort, Sleep, Turbo, and Continuous modes. Comfort mode keeps humidity between 45% and 55%, with adjustable fan speed but a fixed humidity target. Sleep mode keeps humidity between 40% and 60% with low fan speed and dim lights. Turbo mode runs the fan at high speed for maximum dehumidification. Continuous mode runs non-stop at low fan speed, with an automatic eight-minute stop every eight hours to protect the unit. The LED display shows the set humidity or timer. When the bucket is removed, the bucket full indicator comes on and the dehumidifier stops working. To empty the water, I pull out the bucket and pour it out. I don’t use the continuous drain mode, I just empty the bucket as needed because I don't have a floor drain. For maintenance, I wipe the outer surface with a soft, dry cloth and avoid chemicals. I clean the bucket every one to two weeks and rinse the washable filter under running water, and wait for it to dry before putting it back. The filter should be cleaned at least once every 30 days according to the manual. The specifications, which I found printed on one side of the dehumidifier and not in the manual, are: Model TAURUS PRO-RCS50(Y)-N4-3, moisture removal capacity 49.95 pints per day at 18.33°C and 60% RH, power supply 120V-60Hz, rated power 600W, total input rated current 5.4A, operating temperature 5–32°C, fan motor FLA 0.6A, compressor RLA 4.03A and LRA 25A, refrigerant R32/160g, maximum allowable pressure 5.5MPa, max discharge pressure 3.8MPa, max suction pressure 1.2MPa, net weight 19.7kg, and product size 454 x 280 x 614mm. The label also notes Intertek and CSA certifications, refrigerant safety requirements for rooms not smaller than 9m², and the manufacturer as Zhuhai Invitop Technology Co., Ltd.

I got this dehumidifier from Vellgoo to replace a smaller unit that just wasn't doing a good job. The space I need dried out is a small office and storage space but it somehow stays incredibly humid. There is a lot of entering and exiting the door which goes outside and lets in even more humidity. Also, ever since I replaced the a/c last year it seems the new "energy saving" unit saves energy by pumping massive quantities of moisture into the air. Yuck. I really need help here. This was one of the easiest unpacking jobs I've ever had, ha. The tape holding all the pieces in place on this dehumidifier was so easy to remove! This is unusual, hence the mention. The unit was pretty much ready to go immediately - I didn't have the time to open it for a couple of days after receiving so it had plenty of time to sit upright. This baby sucked the humidity in my office down from 85% to 50% within half an hour. I love feeling that big of a difference that quickly. I set it to keep the humidity at 35% if possible. It *is* possible but it usually achieves this over night when no one is opening the door and letting out the dry air and letting in the wet air. That's fine. During the day with all the entering and exiting it has been able to keep the humidity between 45-50%. This is such an improvement over what I previously had (clearly, since the other dehumidifier couldn't get the humidity below 85%). Since I'm at the office pretty much every day, I let this collect water internally. The water tank drawer is easy enough to remove and empty. I have been emptying it once a week so far. It holds quite a bit of water. I keep the fan on the medium setting. Low wasn't quite cutting it and medium seems to be doing well enough. Medium also isn't particularly noisy. High gets a little noticeable though it is still not obnoxiously loud at all. We have had one power outage since I got this unit and when the power came back on the unit came back on by itself with the settings intact. That's it. This is a great unit so far and has drastically improved my office/storage space. I was getting mold spots on papers previously because of the high moisture content in the air but I am confident that will stop since even *I* can tell the air feels different. Great! **** I have been using this dehumidifier for well over a month now and the weather has gotten considerably more humid. As in, I was needing to empty the tank on this once a day (at least). I decided to run the hose from it through a wall to the outside so I wouldn’t have to worry about the thing shutting off on weekends due to a full tank. It’s worked great! Humidity stays low, no more mold issues. And as backup, if the hose should somehow be yanked when I’m not around the water would still go in the water drawer. More of a fan of this dehumidifier every day.
