Back in 2012, I fell 30 feet. When my forehead hit the ground my head snapped back violently. Ever since then, I've had neck pain and couldn't sleep well. It was horrible being so sleep deprived. I've been using one of those popular design foam pillows. I thought that was going to be the best I could do even though I still tossed and turned all night. I'm so grateful I found this pillow! The only thing is, I don't have a long neck. I feel like the pillow would be more beneficial if I had a long neck. I'm currently sleeping on the thicker side of the pillow. If the manufacturer ever makes a version for us short neck folks, I'd buy it immediately! But until then, I still highly recommend this pillow. ... show more

******update!!!! There is a case on the pillow, it is technically a case as the pillow is a memory foam type and encased in the white button/zipper up. :) I put an extra case over it to help protect it better. Doesn't effect pillow in anyway. The insert doesn't seem like much but it does make a big difference! You can also turn the pillow in its reverse direction or flip it over and supports in different ways... ( whether that's intentional or not, idk.) I absolutely love the pillow and it has honestly helped my neck so much. I purchased this for my husband whom had cervical surgery but, he wasn't a fan of it. I will buy another in the future tho if and when needed. Updated to 5 stars. Great product! Thank you! Got the pillow in today, I ordered it for my husband who had cervical surgery... but I am having to need to purchase a second one! I absolutely love it! However.... I've only rated 4 stars because of 2 issues. (A) the pillow DAMAGED from fraying even though it is fresh out of the box, I'm worried it'll unravel quickly. (B) I can not find a pillow case to fit is shape and do not want it to get stained or dirty so quickly :( ... show more

I have spent so many dollars trying to find a comfortable pillow and I think I finally found the one! And it's less expensive than the others I've tried... The shape allows for relief of pressure on your ear (if you're a side sleeper) and head if you sleep on your back or stomach. It's comfortably soft but not too soft. I don't know what to say, it's just perfect and I highly recommend this one. I tried another shaped similarly but it was too hard. Everyone's head and neck are different-- your mileage probably will (not may) vary, but I personally didn't like the way this pillow generated too much contact with pressure points on my scalp. I gave it a go, but couldn't adapt and ended up passing it off to someone else.
