  • Great quality to price ratio here.
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
Really nice overall, but be aware they are super light. For when you want that feel. The grip surface is great to have especially with the weight, and it doesn't make the sticks feel weird or anything. 2 pairs were the sweet value spot. I am using them on an e-kit and I expect them to last a long time with occasional use.. ... show more

  • Light weight
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
These are the correct shape for 5A sticks. They are lighter than the hickory sticks in used to. Across multiple brands, my hickory sticks weigh in at 1.7 to 1.8 ounces each. These maple sticks are not as consistent. The 4 sticks I received have the following weights: 1.2 oz, 1.4, 1.4, and 1.5 oz. The grip cover doesn't feel very "grippy" to me. It's not bad, but I didn't think it's necessary. Also, the wood isn't sanded very well in some spots. Maybe if the wood had a completely smooth finish, the grip would be more noticeable. Overall, they are decent, and might be good for slightly softer playing versus 5A hickory sticks. ... show more

  • Super Lighweight
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
For the record, I prefer size 7A drum sticks, but my husband and kids prefer 5As, and I use 5As with students. I thought these my be a good option for some of my students who are watching budgets (as we all have to do). I was really disappointed with the feel. They are so lightweight, and I think that does them, and the percussionsists, a disservice. You just don't get the same sound as a nice hickory stick. ... show more

  • Nice grips!
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
I am an absolute beginner, and I like these, but I also had my drummer friend test them out. The grips are cool in that they get "grippier" while you're using them, like the heat from your hands changes the material a bit. They are quite lightweight drumsticks, so you can either use them when you want a toned-down sound, or when you want to hit things with more force without worrying as much about breaking a drum head or denying a cymbal. ... show more

  • Awesome value for the money
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
At $8 for 2 pairs you cannot beat the price on drumsticks. The 5a sizing seems correct and matches other standard 5a sticks I use in both diameter and length. The maple makes for a nice lightweight durable stick. The only minor negatives I have is the final sanding and shaping around the tips could be better executed. Also I couldn’t tell exactly what the rubber grip was by the listing description and pictures. I guess I was expecting some type of a dipped rubberized paint coating on the stick. Instead these rubber grips look more like heat shrink tubing. The tubing is tight to the wood and doesn’t slide around. The material feels okay in the hands and does provide more grip. Can’t really tell that it provides any shock absorption and I think that’s more of a factor with players that have poor technique. The more the rubber warms up from body heat the more grip they seem to provide too. At this price point, these sticks are definitely worth a try. ... show more

  • Good for a beginner
Size: 5a Color: 1 Pair
The price is right on these sticks. I am a rank amateur and they work fine for me. Feel good in the hand and sound great. Affordable too!

  • Good quality drumsticks, just slightly lighter than I expected
Size: 5a Color: 2 Pairs
These are good quality 5A drumsticks. The size is commonly used for most western drummers. It is made of maple wood and lightweight. The end of the drumsticks have rubber coating to provide good grip, but these are not rubber paint, they are just rubber tubes that is similar to the heatsink tube. These drumsticks are nice but they are a little lighter than I've expected. Overall, they are great value and good practice drumsticks. ... show more
